CUET 2022 Registration Starts Today; Check Admission Policy in DU and Other Universities

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) application process has been started today, 5th April to grant admissions into various undergraduate degree courses in all UGC-funded central universities. Applicants aspiring to get admission in central universities for the academic session 2022 – 23 can apply through the CUET official portal, cuet.samarth.ac.in.

The Delhi University has revealed the admission policy for the UG courses. DU Vice-Chancellor of DU, Yogesh Singh said that admission will be granted to various UG courses based on the CUET only. Also Mr. Singh said that the university is moving from the cut-off based system to the merit list. The colleges have given the facility to extend 30% seats for dropouts or withdrawals. Candidates in sports and extracurricular activities who stopped due to COVID will also be taken into consideration for admissions. Students’ merit in the previous classes along with CUET scores will be considered for admissions.

The CUET is the only source of admission for various central universities in the nation. Various collages have updated their new admission policy this year.

Jamia Millia Islamia

Jamia Millia Islamia will offer admissions to various UG courses based on the CUET score. This year 8 UG courses have been selected for admission through CUET.

“It has been decided in a meeting attended by the top officials of the university that admissions for selected undergraduate courses will be done through CUET,” the varsity mentioned.

St Stephen’s College

St Stephen’s College is now going to follow the admission through CUET merit. Earlier the St Stephen’s College used to offer admissions on the asis of cutoff and interviews. DU affirmed that the minority institutions such as St Stephen’s College will offer admissions through the CUET.

 “During counselling, separate merit lists will be generated for unreserved and minority candidates as per the reservation policy of such colleges,” they stated.

Jesus And Mary College

Jesus and Mary collage will also conduct the admissions through CUET.

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) may be held in the first and second week of July. The CUET 2022 will be held in 13 languages, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Urdu, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi, Odia and English.
