DU Admission Process 2021-22 Going to Start in July

The University of Delhi (DU) Undergraduate Degree admission process is going to start from 15th July. This year the admission process is expected to be different. DU is anticipated to conduct Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) for UG admissions.

DU Admission Process 2021-22 Going to Start in July

CBSE, CISCE boards cancelled the class 12th examinations this year due to coronavirus outbreak. Regarding this, the DU officials said the discussions will be held with the admission committee and the academic council of the university to conduct the admission process. The committee is expecting the board exam results on class 12th will be released by mid-July. After that the DU admission process will be processed.  

DU sets the cutoff marks for admissions every year. Competitors who scores the cutoff marks will be considered for admissions. The cutoff marks are the percentage of marks in class 12th board examinations.

Vice Chancellor PC Joshi said that Delhi University will be conducting the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) this year instead of depending on the student’s merit in class 12th examinations. Mr. Joshi has discussed 2 different methods of admission process even not conducting the CUCET.

“If it is held we will take it as merit. If CUCET does not happen this year like the board exams, we will take the board exam evaluation. The various boards will definitely choose some mature method of evaluation. On the basis of those, we will prepare our merit list accordingly,” Professor Joshi said.

The education ministry also need to approve the permission to conduct the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) for Delhi University admissions.
