The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Goa has announced that the Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) will be postponed to June. The actual dates announced by the DTE Goa are 11th and 12th May. While the examination was postponed to 27th and 28th June 2022. Competitors who are seeking to appear for the GCET 2022 can check the updates from the DTE official portal, dte.goa.gov.in. The DTE will keep posting updates about GCET exam dates, and other important information.
Goa GCET Exam Postponed to 27, 28 June 2022
The exam, which was earlier scheduled to take place on May 11 and 12 this year, will now take place on June 27 and 28, 2022. However, the dates can still be changed, and “the dates shall be confirmed only 10 days prior to the exam,” a statement from DTE read.
The Goa GCET registration process is going to start shortly. The application dates, application process, and other important instructions will be updated on DTE official website, dte.goa.gov.in.
“The procedure and schedule of acceptance of application forms for GCET-2022 shall be duly notified on the DTE website. Schedule of subsequent activities related to admissions, shall be notified, after conduct of GCET-2022,” the notification from DTE read.
The Goa Common Entrance Test is a state-level entrance exam conducted for students aspiring to get admission in various professional degree courses such as Engineering and others. Based on the rank obtained in the GCET, candidates will be given admission into various courses and collages across Goa state. Goa’s Directorate of Technical Education handles the GCET examination process every year.
The GCET is a pen-paper-based examination; which contains questions in the English language. The duration of the examination is 2 hours. Yearly lakhs of students seeking admission in various professional degree courses in Goa appear for the GCET examination.
