IIIT Nuzvid Entrance Exam 2020-21 – RGUKT Admissions Common Entrance Test
As per the Statute 13(4) of the RGUKT, admissions are done based on the marks secured in Secondary School Certificate(SSC) Public examinations. Due to Covid-19 pandemic situation prevailing, the Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh could not conduct the SSC Public examination March -2020.
The Statute 13(4) of RGUKT Act, 2008 reads as follows:
“The merit is based on the marks secured in the Secondary School Certificate (10th Standard) from out of the applicants”.
Since the Board could not conduct the SSC Public examination March – 2020 and marks secured in the SSC are not available for the AY 2019-20, the merit of the students cannot be prepared for admission in various courses offered by the RGUKT. Therefore, there is a need to conduct an entrance test based on 10th class syllabus prescribed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh to determine the merit of the student for the Academic Year 2020-21.
Hence, in exercise of the powers conferred under section 25(1) of the RGUKT Act, 2008, Govt. hereby alter the Statute 13(4) of the first Statutes of RGUKT in place of existing statute-13(4) of the said Act. The altered Statute-13(4) is as follows:
The merit of the students shall be determined for the Academic year 2020-21 by a Common Entrance Test based on 10th class syllabus of SSC Public examinations prescribed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
