Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education Roorkee (UBTER) annually conducts the Joint Entrance Examination – Polytechnic (JEEP) examination to provide admissions into various courses. Candidates clearing the Uttarakhand JEEP examination will get admission into various courses on the basis of their rank, and merit scored in the examination. Candidates aspiring for admissions can get admission in various streams such as Modern Office Management & Secretarial Practices, Engineering/ Technology, Pharmacy, Textile Design, Garment Technology, Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Fashion Design and PG Diploma in Computer Application (PGDCA) and lateral entry admissions (into 2nd year) of Engineering courses. The total number of seats available is nearly 5,685 seats in 70 government polytechnics, 365 seats in 1 government-aided, and 14,940 seats in 56 private polytechnics.
