JNTUH Dasara Holidays Extension 2019 – Dussehra/Vijayadashami Holidays


JNTUH Dasara Holidays Extension 2019: JNTU Hyderabad University information on Dussehra/Vijayadashami Holidays 2019 for all courses (B.tech, B.Pharmacy, MBA, MCA, M.Tech etc).

The Government of Telangana declared holidays to all the Private / Government /Aided / Degree / Polytechnic including Engineering, Law, MBA, MCA, Pharmacy and University Colleges except Medical Colleges through GO Rt. No. 202 dated 12.10.2019.

In this connection, the Principals of the Constituent and Affiliated Colleges of JNTUH and Directors of all the Academic Units of JNTUH are requested to declare the holidays till 19th October 2019.

The Classes will commence from 21st October 2019. Further, it is instructed that all the Educational Institutions will function on all the Second Saturdays till April 2020 in lieu of the holidays declared now.

Dasara, a South Indian term for Vijayadashami, derived from the Sanskrit Dasha-hara which means “remover of bad fate”, is among the most important festivals celebrated in India. Other regional spellings include Dashera, Dussera and Dussehra in North India.

Vijayadashami also known as Dussehra or Ayudhapuja, is an important Hindu festival celebrated in a variety of ways in Nepal, Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh and parts of Pakistan.

  1. The dasara holidays are extended for jntuh affiliated colleges or not sir please share the information if you know ?

  2. For every one they have holidays from 29 September….why does jntu don't give us enough holidays..why it dosen't follow the Telengana government's orders

  3. yaar, the university always releases the fee dates firstly but y can't they release the exam time table too at the same time. Need exam time table too.
