With reference to the subject cited above, it is to inform that, the Board Diploma Supplementary examinations of C16/ 16S and ER 91 (I & II Year) are scheduled to commence from 16-09-2020 onwards. Therefore you are requested to verify the detailed Time-Table enclosed herewith and communicate the same to the students and staff with wide publicity.

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2020 has been set up by the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) to manage and regulate the joint seat allocation for admissions to 100 institutes for the academic year 2020-21. This includes 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 25 IIITs and 28 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs). Admission to all the academic programs offered by these Institutes will be made through a single platform.

JoSAA 2020 – Important points to note

1. JoSAA-2020 Registration process is mandatory for any qualified candidate interested in joining any of the IITs, NITs, IIITs (Triple-I-Ts) and Other-GFTIs (within the purview of JoSAA2020). The process of registration requires candidates to reconfirm a few basic details, viz. gender, state code of eligibility and nationality, and provide their contact details.

2. To accept allotted seats (and continue to be a part of JoSAA-2020 till the final round of seat allocation), candidates must upload ALL required documents and MUST pay seat acceptance fee as per the details provided at http://josaa.nic.in.

3. The number of days and time available for document upload, query response and verification for seat acceptance in various rounds will be strictly adhered to. Candidates are advised to keep visiting http://josaa.nic.in for regular updates on schedule of events in case of unexpected situations.

4. Candidate whose seat has been confirmed by JoSAA can Withdraw from the seat allocation process starting from the 2nd round and up to the 5th round of seat allocation before the last round of seat allocation (i.e., no Withdrawal will be allowed after 6 th November 2020).

5. Candidates who have not been allocated any seat by JoSAA can Exit from the seat allocation process starting from the 2nd round and up to the 5th round of seat allocation before the last round of seat allocation (i.e., no Exit will be allowed after 6 th November 2020).

6. (Only for IITs) Candidates who are allotted a seat for the first time in the 6th (FINAL) round of seat allocation may do the document verification and deposit of fees at the time of registration at the admitting IIT.

7. (Only for NIT+ System) Normally physical reporting at admitting institutes is mandatory for students who have accepted a seat in NITs, IIITs (Triple-I-Ts) and Other-GFTIs immediately after 6th round of seat allocation. In case, the situation does not permit the physical presence of candidate at admitting Institute the above process will be done online (for further details visit CSAB website http://www.csab.nic.in).

8. Details regarding beginning of academic sessions at IITs, NITs, IIITs (Triple-I-Ts) and Other-GFTIs will be available along with other Institutional information (e.g., fee structure etc.) at http://josaa.nic.in.

9. Delays or disruptions in service due to breakdown of JoSAA computer servers [due to reasons beyond the control of JoSAA-2020] shall be rectified as early as possible and notified on the web (jeeadv.ac.in OR http://josaa.nic.in). The decisions of JoSAA-2020 in this regard shall be final and binding.

Admission Procedure:

a) Admission to the first year Integrated B.Tech Program (2020-21) will be based on merit in the 10th Class Grade Point Average (GPA), Guidelines issued by the Government of Andhra Pradesh & Governing Council of RGUKT from time to time , following the statutory reservations of the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

b) The rules and guidelines issued by the Government of Andhra Pradesh/Governing Council of RGUKT from time to time shall be followed for admissions.

Eligibility for Admission:

a) Candidates should have passed SSC (10th class) or any other equivalent examination recognized by the Governments of Andhra Pradesh &Telangana State, conducted in 2020.

Selection Method:

a) Admission to the first year Integrated B.Tech Program (2020-21) will be based on merit in the 10th Class Grade Point Average (GPA) & Guidelines issued by the Government of Andhra Pradesh/Governing Council of RGUKT from time to time and as per the provisions of Presidential Order, 1974.

b) Latest application will be considered in case of multiple applications.

c) In case of a tie in 10th class GPA score, it will be resolved by adopting preference in the following sequence:

i. Higher grade in Mathematics,

ii. Higher grade in General Science,

iii. Higher grade in English,

iv. Higher grade in Social Studies,

v. Higher grade in 1st Language,

vi. Older candidate as per the Date of Birth,

vii. Lowest random number obtained from the hall ticket number.

xIf the tie is resolved with any of the checks in the chronological order mentioned above, the next option(s) will not be considered.

d) The rules and guidelines issued by the Government of Andhra Pradesh/Governing Council of RGUKT from time to time shall be followed for admissions.

Intimation to Selected Candidates:

a. The list of provisionally selected candidates for counseling will be displayed on the University website www.rgukt.in.

b. The candidates may be informed by post, E-mail and SMS message, whichever possible, to the address/mobile number written in the application form.

c. RGUKT is not responsible for not reaching the information by post/e-mail/SMS message in any case.

Certificate Verification and Admission:

a) The applicants should submit a print out copy of the application along with the following documents at the time of certificate verification and Admission. The proforma for the certificates mentioned below are given in Annexures.

i. The receipt issued by the AP Online services

ii. Hall Ticket of X standard (10th Class)

iii. GPA of 10th class Public Examination, i.e., SSC/CBSE/ICSE/NIOS.

iv. Residence certificate by those claiming Local category, (for details, see Annexure – II)

v. Residence certificate / service certificate of parents by those claiming Non-Local category (for details, see Annexure – III)

vi. Proof of caste / community certificate (SC/ST/BC) in the prescribed proforma by those claiming reservation under any of these categories, (for details, see Annexure – IV)

Admission:

a) Admission to the first year of 6-year integrated engineering programme in the University will be granted only after satisfactory verification and scrutiny of the details mentioned in the application and the original certificates / documents submitted by the candidate at the time of Certificate verification.

b) Mere calling for certificate verification will not guarantee the admission to the candidate.

Annual Fee:

a) The tuition fee for the candidates who studied in Schools situated in Andhra Pradesh &Telangana states is Rs.36,000/- per annum( for PUC1 & PUC II) and Rs 40,000/- per annum(for four years engineering)

b) Students who are eligible for tuition fee reimbursement as per the guidelines issued by the respective State Governments have to pay the balance fee after deducting the tuition fee received from the respective State governments from the annual fee of the RGUKT (Students whose parental annual income is below Rs.1.0 Lakh for non SC/ST category and below Rs.2.0 Lakh for SC/ST category and who fulfill the other conditions as per the latest Govt. Rules are eligible for fee reimbursement)

c) Every student has to pay a registration fee of Rs.1,000/- (Rs.500/- for SC/ST candidates) and a refundable caution deposit of Rs.2,000 (by all), that is a total ofRs.3,000/- (Rs 2,500/- in case of SC/ST candidates) at the time of admission.

As per the academic calendar, the Intermediate Public Examinations (Theory)-2021 will be held from March 24 to April 12, 2021, and the practical examinations will be conducted from March 1 to 20. While the Advanced Supplementary examinations will be held in May 2021. Students can aware of the Intermediate 1st year and 2nd year examination dates from the time table. Shortly, TS BIE will release the TS Intermediate Date Sheet 2020-21 for both 1st year and 2nd year.

The Board of Intermediate Education Telangana has released the TS Intermediate academic calendar 2020-21 recently for all the junior and composite colleges.  The calendar was released for general and technical courses. As per the TS Inter academic calendar, there will be 182 total working days this year.

While coming to Dussehra holidays, TS Inter Dussehra holidays will be from 23rd to 25th October and Sankranthi holidays will ne on 13th and 14th January. The colleges will be opened with all the measures only after the permission given by the Government.

The Intermediate last working day will be 16th April 2021 and the holidays will e starting from 17th April to 31st May. The colleges will be opened on 1st June after the summer vacation.

The junior and private un-aided colleges will be working as per the academic calendar released by the BIE.

Collages are not permitted to play strategies like appointing public relations officers or any others for grabbing the admissions. Also, it was restricted to distribute the pamphlets, making publicity on electronic media, keeping hoardings, wall writing, and print media, etc.

The Board of Intermediate has announced that it is going to take strict action on colleges violating the rules. Even the colleges may have to experience the dis-affiliation if they try to publicize.

Any violation noticed will be dealt under Law.
  • All the private college managements are hereby informed that if they do not send the qualified lecturers for spot valuation camps, stringent steps / disciplinary action would be taken against them.

The Principals are informed to note the following additional instructions related to the conduct of semester examinations commencing from 16-09-2020:

1) The Principals are informed to provide the necessary comfort to the parents/attendees who accompany with their wards who are writing semester exam at your college test center like allowing them to enter inside the campus and permitting them to sit in the waiting hall /seminar hall until the two hours exams of their wards is completed.

2) There are a few changes in the provisional allotment of the students to your college. These changes are necessitated due to requests received from the Principals. Final allotment of the students to write the exams, shall be kept in the portal by 14-09-2020. The Principals are requested to make the seating plans as per that final lists only.

3) Nominal rolls of the students shall be generated based on the final allotments only.

4) The hall tickets of the students of your college (parent college) shall be kept in your college portal on or before 13-09-2020. Principals are requested to arrange to take the printouts of all the hall-tickets of the students. The scanned copies of the hall-tickets of the students (who opted to write their exam at the center other than Parent College) should be sent to respective students either by mail or whatsapp or some other electronic mode after the signature (and duly stamped) of the Principal. These students should not be instructed to come to college for the collection of their respective hall-tickets. However for the students who opted their parent college as test center, there is no change in the procedure for the issue of the hall-tickets.

5) All the answer booklets of the students are packed host-college-wise. Hence the colleges need to submit the answer booklets of their students to host colleges where their college students are writing exams.

6) Every college receive two types of answer booklets cartons; the first category of cartons (bundles) consists of the answer booklets of all the students of their own college students (this bundles consist of the booklets of the students who are writing at other centers also; but ignore these booklets; as we have already sent another set to the host colleges); the second category of the bundles are of the students who are allotted to your college (these are other college students) plus Rs. 2000/- fine booklets.

8) If there are any student who was tested positive for Covid-19 or the student who has not gone for the testing but possessing the symptoms of Covid-19, such students should not be allowed to write the exam but assist them to visit the nearest hospital. University plans to conduct a separate exam for such students. Due to Covid reasons, if any student is absent for the semester exam, but write at later date, such cases shall not be treated as supplementary appearance.

9) The Principals are informed to follow all the instructions as well as standard operating procedures due to Covid-19 mentioned in our earlier letter (ref. 2 cited above).

10) The last date to submit the lab exam award lists, internal marks of Mid-1 and Mid-2, MOOCs grades and the second batch project viva exam grades is 03-10-2020 (Saturday). If not submitted by the due date, penalty will be levied.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION:

  • Candidate shall be an Indian National.
  • Candidate should belong to the State of Telangana /Andhra Pradesh as defined in G.O.(P).No. 646, Education (w) Dept., dated 10-07-1979 and its subsequent amendments.
  • Candidates should have passed S.S.C. Examination conducted by State Board of Secondary Education, Telangana / Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognized as equivalent there to by the Board of Secondary Education, TS/ AP such as Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Indian Council for Secondary Education (ICSE), National Institute of Open School (NIOS), Telangana Open School Society (TOSS), A.P. Open School Society (APOSS), X class examination conducted by various State Boards of Secondary Education in India with Mathematics as one of the subjects and obtained at least 35% marks in the qualifying examination.
  • Candidates belonging to NIOS/TOSS/APOSS/CBSE/ICSE/Other Examinations recognized as equivalent to SSC by Telangana State should have passed all the subjects including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, with minimum of 35% Marks in each subject.
  • There is no age restriction for seeking admission into Diploma Courses in Polytechnics. However maximum eligible age for obtaining a scholarship is 20 years for OC candidates and 24 years for other candidates as on the date of 01-07-2020 as per the guidelines prescribed in Memo No. 10537/SW(Edn.2)/2011, dated: 20-10-2012 and further guidelines issued from time to time by Social Welfare (Edn.) Department shall apply.
  • Mere appearing for TSPOLYCET-2020 and obtaining a rank does not entitle a candidate to be considered for admission automatically unless the candidate fulfils the requirements laid down for admissions.

SLOT BOOKING FOR CERTIFICATE VERIFICATION

  • All categories (OC/BC/SC/ST/MINORITY) candidates, Book your Slot (Selection Of Help Line Centre, Date & Time) to attend certificate verification at your nearest or convenient Help Line Centre (HLC) mentioned in Annexure-I within the scheduled dates and attend for the Certificate Verification accordingly. Without payment Of Processing Fee and Slot Booking, the candidate is not permitted to attend for Certificate Verification. The candidate shall be permitted to attend for Certificate Verification at the Help Line Centre (HLC) only on the date and time of slot booked, as per the schedule.

CERTIFICATE VERIFICATION:

  • Candidate presence is mandatory for Certificate Verification Strictly as
    per the scheduled slot booking date and time at help line centre.
  • No entry for the candidates without mask.
  • Candidates must maintain social distancing.

  • The Tuition Fee for Private Un-Aided / Self Finance Branch offered in Aided polytechnics is Rs. 15500/- per annum.

Certificates to be produced by PH/CAP/NCC/Sports and Games /Minority/ Anglo – Indian Candidates:

  • PH-Certificate issued by District Medical Board. Candidates with 40% and above disability are only eligible.
  • CAP- Certificate issued by Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer, Identity card and Discharge book ( in case of Ex-Service men) and Service Certificate (in case of inservice men) issued by Competent Authority for verification. Candidates whose parents are domiciled in the State of Telangana based on the permanent address/home town declared by them while joining the service and as recorded in their Service Register are alone eligible to be considered under “CAP” Category.
  • NCC & Sports and Games- Certificates issued by competent authorities.
  • Minorities: SSC TC containing Minority Status or Certificate from the Head Master.

PROCEDURE FOR EXERCISING OPTIONS:

  • Immediately after Certificate Verification, the Login Id will be sent to the candidates registered Mobile Number. All the messages / OTPs / Allotment details etc., will be sent to the Registered Mobile number, hence advised to keep the mobile with you till the end of admission process.
  • Download the list of colleges / branches / districts from the website https://tspolycet.nic.in
  • Take the printout of Manual Option Entry Form from the website.
  • Consult Parents / Friends and prepare Manual Option Entry Form as per your preference duly writing institution code, branch code and district code. This is for your convenience and to avoid mistakes and save time while entering web options.
  • The candidates can exercise options from Home / Internet Centre / Help Line Centre (HLC).
  • If the candidate is exercising options from Internet Centre, make sure that proper logout is done after saving the options to avoid manipulation of the password by the Internet Centre person.
  • Generate the password by clicking on Candidates Registration link in the
    website.
  • Do not share the password with others.
  • After successful password generation, Login with the details under the link Candidates Login and enter OTP as received in registered Mobile Number.
  • Refer the Manual Option Entry Form prepared by you and enter the options in the website.
  • Candidates are advised to exercise options carefully in the order of prionty. The order of priority of options is the important criteria in securing the seat.
  • Candidate has to exercise as many options as possible to avoid
    disappointment of not getting a seat.
  • Candidate can exercise and modify the options any number of times within the scheduled dates.
  • Take a printout of final options saved for reference.

ALLOTMENT OF SEATS:

  • For downloading the candidate’s Provisional allotment order, enter the ROC Form Number, Hall Ticket Number, password and Date of Birth in Candidate login in https://tspolycet.nic.in
  • pay the Tuition Fee mentioned in the Provisional allotment order through online (Net Banking / Credit Card / Debit Card) within the prescribed time and Self Report through Website to confirm the provisionally allotted seat.
  • Candidates/parents are advised to make tuition fee payment from their own Bank Accounts. In case of refunds, if any, the amount will be remitted back through online in to the same Bank Account from which the payment was made.
  • In candidate’s login, the candidate after Self Report through online system, the Admission Number will be generated and are advised to take a printout for future reference.
  • If the candidate does not pay the prescribed Tuition Fee within the schedule mentioned, the provisional allotted seat automatically stands cancelled and he / she shall not have any claim on the provisionally allotted seat.

According to the notification, online filing of basic information and payment of processing fee will be held from 16th to 19th, September. The certificate verification will be held from 19th September. Candidates will be able to exercise their web options from 19th September, provisional allotment list of seats will be released on 28th September.

Candidates have to make payment of tuition fee and self-reporting through website should be made on. “Update the information and pay the processing fee of Rs 600 (for SC/ST) and Rs 1200 (for others) through online payment (credit card/debit card/net banking) before attending for the certificate verification.
