JNTUH B.Tech / B.Pharmacy II Year to IV year Supple Exams Feb 2016 are Postponed and Rescheduled

With reference to the University letter (1) cited, it is to inform you that the B.Tech/B.Pharmacy (Supplementary) examinations are rescheduled by two weeks i.e from 22.02.2016 to 07.03.2016 instead of 08.02.2016 to 20.02.1016.

Hence you are requested to adjust the Academic Calendar for conducting the supplementary Examinations from 22.02.2016 to 07.03.2016

This is for your information and necessary action.

On the occasion of Telangana GHMC Elections 2016 – 2nd Feb 2016 is Holiday.

On the occasion of Telangana GHMC Elections 2016 the state government will likely be declared holiday on 02.02.2016 for local region. As Telangana state government issued 3rd Ordinary Elections to GHMC-2016 – Election Notification issued. The District Collectors of Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Medak are authorised to declare local holiday in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area on the date of poll i.e., on 02.02.2016 for all the Government offices, Local bodies and other Government institutions situated in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation areas notified for elections.

Here are the 3rd Ordinary Elections to GHMC-2016 & Election Notification.

ABSTRACT : Elections – 3rd Ordinary Elections to GHMC-2016 – Election Notification issued – Authorization to the District Collectors of Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Medak to declare local holiday in the areas notified for elections and other related issues – Orders – Issued .

1.From the Telangana State Election Commission, Notification No.23/TSEC-ULBs/2016-1&2, dt:08.01.2016.

2.From the Secretary, State Election Commission, Hyderabad, Lr.No.28/TSEC-L/2016, dt:09.01.2016.

ORDER:

1. In the reference 1st read above, the Telangana Stae Election Commission has issued Notification for conduct of 3rd Ordinary elections to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation on 02.02.2016.

2. In the reference 2nd read above, the Secretary, State Election Commission, Telangana has requested the Government, to issue necessary orders on certain items in connection with the conduct of Ordinary Elections to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.

3. Therefore, Government hereby issue the following orders:

i) The District Collectors of Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Medak are authorised to declare local holiday in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area on the date of poll i.e., on 02.02.2016 for all the Government offices, Local bodies and other Government institutions situated in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation areas notified for elections.

ii) The District Collectors of Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Medak are authorised to declare local Holiday on the preceding day of poll i..e, on 01.02.2016, on the day of poll i.e., on 02.02.2016 and on the day of counting i.e., on 05.02.2016 for all public Buildings, educational institutions buildings and other buildings that are used for conduct of poll.

iii) The District Collectors of Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Medak are authorised to take action for declaration of local holiday for the Public and Private Undertakings / Firms located in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area to facilitate employees working in those organisations to exercise their franchise.

iv) The District Collectors of Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Medak are authorised to declare the day of poll as a public holiday in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area notified for poll under the negotiable instruments Act, 1881.

v) The Commissioner of Labour, Telangana State is directed to declare day of poll i.e., on 02.02.2016 as paid holiday to shops and establishments located in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area under AP Shops and Establishments Act, 1988 declaring the day of poll as a paid holiday to all the employees and workers employed in shops and establishments situated in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area.

vi) The Commissioner & Special Officer and Election Authority, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation is authorised for
requisition the required number of Government vehicles to utilize them for election work.

vii) The District Collectors of Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Medak are authorised to prohibit sale of liquor during 48 hours prior to the hours fixed for completion of poll and also on the day of counting of votes.

viii) The District Collectors of Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Medak shall issue instructions on conduct of Government servants during elections to Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation as prescribed in sub-rules and 6 of rule 19 of A.P. Civil (conduct) Rules, and section 607-A, 610 and 612 of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Act, 1955.

4. The District Collectors of Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Medak Districts/ Commissioner, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation / Commissioner, Labour Department shall take necessary action accordingly.
