AFCAT Result 2017: Indian Air Force (IAF) has announced the AFCAT 02/2017 Results, Merit List, Cutoff marks today, 13th October at 12.00 pm on its official website, careerairforce.nic.in. Aspirants taken the test in the month of August and supplementary test in the month of September can access their result from the IAF Official portal. Candidates qualified in the IAF AFCAT are eligible to proceed for interview round in the next session of selection process. The IAF has also declared the AFCAT Cutoff Marks 2017 along with result. The IAF annually organizes the AFCAT test to recruit the suitable candidates into Short Service Commission in Flying Branch and Permanent/ Short Service Commission in Ground Duty (Non-technical branches). Indian Air Force has conducted the Air force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) examination Test (AFCAT 02/ 2017) on 27th August and the supplementary examination on 17th September. The aspirants interested in Air force jobs have applied for the AFCAT 2017 test. Candidates will be shortlisted through merit basis. Initially, candidates have to clear the AFCAT Examination with good score. That is, more than the announced cutoff/qualifying marks. After that, aspirants will have to attend the interview round. Candidates will be selected based on their performance in interview round. Selected candidates will get appointed in Technical, Flying, and Ground Duty branches of Indian Air Force.

AFCAT 2/ 2017 RESULTS & LIST OF SHORT LISTED CANDIDATES Declared Now

List of Candidates shortlisted from AFCAT 2/ 2017 held on 27 Aug 17 & 17 Sep 17 for the next phase of testing at Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs) is annexed. Based on the induction requirements of the IAF, performance of candidates in AFCAT as well as statistics of reporting and success rates at AFSBs, the cut off marks for AFCAT 2/ 2017 is 160/ 300 for AFCAT and 60/ 150 for EKT. Only those candidates who have cleared both AFCAT and EKT will be considered for Technical Branch. All candidates may login to their account to view their individual AFCAT/ EKT Marks.

Candidates whose AFCAT Numbers figure in the list are required to login to their account and select the venue and date for further testing at one of the Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs). The last date for selection of AFSB venue and date is 19 Oct 17. The call letter is under revision. Candidates are required to print the Call up Letter and associated forms from the website on or after 17 Oct 17 and report to their selected venue along with AFCAT Admit Card, Call Up letter, documents as listed in the Call Up letter & associated forms duly filled.

Shortlisted candidates who fail to select their AFSB schedules by 19 Oct 17 would not get AFSB of their preference due to limited seats. Hence all candidates are to compulsorily choose AFSB venue by due date.

NOTE 1. All candidates are required to carefully read and follow the General Instructions available on www.careerairforce.nic.in before reporting to AFSB.

2. Candidates who have applied only for Flying Branch are to select 1 AFSB (Dehradun), 2 AFSB (Mysore) or 4 AFSB (Varanasi) as their AFSB centre.

AFCAT 02/2017 Cutoff Marks

The AFCAT 2 2017 Cutoff marks will be in between 150 to 155 and in between 58 to 62 for EKAT paper. Since from past 2 years the cutoff marks are varying. This year the cutoff marks are tend to be increased slightly. Candidates have to clear the test with best merit than the announced cutoff marks to participate in AFSB (Airforce Selection Board) Interview process. Candidates qualified the test can register for AFSB Interview round from 13th October to 19th October. The allotment of seats will be on first come first serve basis. Candidates can get AFSB of their choice by selecting the AFSB Centre before 2359 hrs on 19 October without fail.

 “The allotment of seats will be on first come first serve basis. Therefore, in order to get AFSB of your choice, you are advised to choose AFSB centre as soon as possible and latest by 2359 hrs on 19 October without fail. The first batch of SSB would be available from 30 October onwards,” IAF said in the notice of AFCAT result 2017.

Download IAF AFCAT Interview Call Letter 2017 & Important details

Candidates shortlisted in the AFCAT Examination with suitable cutoff marks can download their AFSB and SSB interview call letter to attend the interview round. Candidates can check the venue details from it and report to the venue at the said time.

The AFSB Interview round will takes place in various places such as Mysore, Dehradun, Gandhinagar or Varanasi. Candidates those have selected the flying branch in AFCAT can select the Dehradun, Varanasi or Mysore location. In AFSB interview, candidates will have to undergo various rounds of selection process such as document verification, Psychological, Group Tests and Interview. Candidates opted the Flying Branch will be having the Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS) by the AFSB.

Aspirants clearing the AFSB selection process and medically fit will be shortlisted for the announced posts. Selected aspirants will have to undergo their training for Ground Duty (Non-technical) Branches is 52 weeks and Flying and Ground Duty (Technical) Branches is 74 weeks at Air Force Training Establishments.
