The Director General of Police, Andhra Pradesh, Mangalagiri has stated that previous recruitment of Civil Police and other specialized units was conducted in the year 2019. Subsequently, many vacancies have arisen due to retirements, promotions and casualties. Moreover, weekly off has to be given as a welfare measure to all the men as decided by the Government in the manifesto which entails an additional strength of 10781 for its effective implementation. The process of application will be only through ONLINEmode. The prescribed proformafor application will made available on WEBSITE (https://slprb.ap.gov.in).

The Director General of Police, Andhra Pradesh has further stated that the Government of India has conveyed the sanction for raising of four Indian Reserve Battalions (IR Bns) in AP as per the following schedule, with the cadre strength of 2. 96 RSIS & 2520 PCs:

The Director General of Police, Andhra Pradesh has requested to accord permission for issue of notification for filling up of 315 SIs (Civil) & 3580 PCs (Civil) against existing vacancies of civil police force and RSI 96 and PC (APSP) 2520 by direct recruitment through SLPRB.

Government of Andhra Pradesh vide G.O.Ms. No. 153 of Home (Services IV) Department dated: 20.10.2022, sanctioned recruitment of 411 posts of Sub Inspectors  and 6100 posts of Police Constables.The details are as follows:

POLICE CONSTABLES:

In pursuance of the Government Order, SLPRB AP has undertaken the recruitment process with following schedule:

Eligibility Conditions:

RESERVATION:

WOMEN RESERVATION:33⅓% in all categories.

EWS, BC-A, BC-B, BC-C, BC-D, BC-E, SC, ST and Ex. Servicemen as per rule of reservation.

Reservation for Special Categories: Civil Constables: 2% for Meritorious Sports Person (MSP); 3% for NCC; 15% for Home Guards (HG); 4% for Children of Police Personnel (CPP) and 2% for CDI.

APSP Constables:2% for Meritorious Sports Person (MSP); 3% for NCC; 25% for Home Guards (HG); 4% for Children of Police Personnel (CPP) and 2% for CDI.

NOTE THAT THE RESERVATION QUOTA FOR HOME GUARDS HAS BEEN INCREASED SUBSTANTIALLY FROM 8% to 15 % IN RESPECT OF CIVIL CONSTABLES, AND 10% TO 25 % IN RESPECT OF APSP CONSTABLES.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS:

Civil Constables: Men & Women are eligible.

APSP Constables: only Men are eligible.

Age Relaxation has been given to EWS / BCs / SCs/ STs/ Government employee / Armed Forces employee / NCC Instructor / Temporary employee of State Census Department: Details are given in the notification.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: Intermediate or its equivalent examination. In the case of a candidate belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes, he/she must have passed SSC or its equivalent examination and should have studied Intermediate and appeared for the Intermediate Examinations of 1st year and 2nd year.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

1. PRELIMINARY WRITTEN TEST One Paper (three hours duration) for 200 marks (200 Questions): Intermediate Standard: Subject for the examination: English / Arithmetic(SSC Standard)/ Test of Reasoning / Mental Ability /General Science / History of India, Indian culture, Indian National Movement. / Indian Geography, Polity and Economy / Current events of national and international importance.

2. PHYSICAL MEASUREMENT TEST & PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST Candidates who qualify Preliminary Written Test will appear for the Physical Measurement Test and Physical Efficiency Test.

I Step: Candidate has to visit SLPRB Website www.slprb.ap.gov.in to pay prescribed Registration Fee by providing his / her Basic personal details like Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, Community and SSC Hall Ticket Number or its equivalent through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking or any other mode made available on the SLPRB Website. Alternatively, the candidate may also visit any of the MeeSeva (e-Seva) / AP Online Centres to pay the prescribed fee by providing above details and amount should be credited in favour of Chairman, State Level Police Recruitment Board, Andhra Pradesh.

II Step: After making the Payment, Candidate has to visit the website www.slprb.ap.gov.in to submit the Online Application Form. Even after making payment of fee, if the candidate fails to press submit the Online Application Form, such cases shall be rejected without giving any notice and fee once paid will not be refunded in any case.

III Step: Candidates who are declared qualified in Preliminary Written Test have to again visit the website www.slprb.ap.gov.in for uploading the Part II Application along with the original scanned copies of Certificates / Documents.
