JNTUA Extension of the lockdown period up to 03-05-2020 & Postponement of All Exams

Sub: JNTUA, Ananthapuramu – Containment, Control and Prevention of COVID-I9- Closure of all Educational Institutions and Hostels -Regarding.

In continuation of this Office circular cited as reference( I) above , wherein it was directed to close all the Affiliated Colleges and Constituent Colleges of JNTUA till 14.04.2020, I am by direction, hereby inform that JNTUA shall remain closed till 03.05.2020 due to the extension of the lockdown period by the Government up to 03.05.2020. All the Affiliated Colleges as well as the Constituent Units of JNTUA shall remain closed till 03.05.2020 as per the Government Orders.

In view of the extension of lockdown as cited above, all the university examinations scheduled, if any, during the above period, are postponed to a later date and the revised dates of the examinations shall be announced after 03-05-2020. The details will be posted in the university official website. The students and the faculty are advised to access university website for further information with regard to reopening and examination schedules of both UG and PG.

In this connection, for the benefit of the students, The Principals of JNTUA Constituent Colleges and Affiliated Colleges are requested to instruct their faculty members to prepare and supply the lecture material for the leftover syllabus in the form of e-content like video lectures or Power Point Presentations etc. The e-mails and WhatsApp groups as well as the College web sites can be effectively used for this purpose.

The Principals and the Management are advised to make necessary arrangements so as to complete the syllabi through on-line lectures with necessary attendance as per norms. The proof of attendance of students and lecture details should be made available in the respective intuitions for verification, in future by University authorities.

The Principals shall also make necessary arrangements to complete the on-going Projects of the Final year B.Tech./B.Phann. and PG students through “work from home” during this lockdown period, in consultation with their respective Project Guides/Supervisors through online and get ready with the soft copy of the Project/Thesis.

Further, the faculty and the Students may be advised to make use of e-resources, online/digital platforms of UGC, AICTE and other sources. The Faculty may also be advised to register for online Faculty Development Programs. The University administration will review the situation on 03.05.2020 and update the further action to be taken and will upload the revised schedules of Academic calendars as well as the Examinations in the University Web Portal.

All the Principals of the Affiliated/Constituent Colleges are requested to follow the above directions and send a compliance report. Further, the Principals. the Faculty and the Students are informed to stay safe and strictly follow lockdown protocols issued by the Government from time to time.

  1. sir,we are not understanding the online class.and also syllabus not completed proporly sir.for doing any furthur exams also time is not available due to staring of next sem.so please give this sem exception for this time sir…

Sir , although the lockdown is stopped it's not possible to open educational institutions and in this scenario if our exams are postponed and keep in June /July/August for exams it must require approx 1 month and it will AFFECT THE NEXT SEMESTER SCHEDULE TOO, it is better to cancel exams except for final years .

  3. Sir online classes are not understanding and their way of teaching is also not understanding
    So please take some action for exams

  4. Why jntua keeps failing students regarding mathematics-2 subject ?
    Is jntua doing it on purpose, this time due to the coronavirus crisis jntua should be given atleast 2 subjects exemption for all final year students.

Online classes are new to both students and respected faculty they are not saying well and due to current situation signal problems are arising so tat we are facing very bad situation.plz co-operate to the students sir because it's some lakhs of students life and carrier sir . Take necessary actions on it .

    • Iam R13 regulation student..admitted as lateral entry in 2015 completed btech in 2018 but i had a backlog in 2-1 semester ptsp subject….we are hearing that there will be no exams for current academic year students but what about my situation when can we expect our exams….

  7. Respected jntua officials ,we are sufferring from online classes they have completed only 1st mid syllabus i.e 2 units in college. Now the online classes are not able to understand with network problems .All of the students are sufferring from this situation .So kindly help the students from this difficult situation in this semester exams .
