JNTU-KAKINADA : Clarification on Exemption of 8 Credits For B.Tech (R10) Regulation Students
Jntuk b.tech 8 credits clarification As per academic regulations of 2010 batch admitted, a student will be declared eligible for the award of B.Tech degree if he or she fulfills the following academic regulations:
“For the award of a degree, candidate has to register for 208 credits and secure 200 credits with compulsory subjects: (compulsory subjects are: all Laboratories and Project work, i.e., the student shall pass all Laboratory examinations and project work)”
– Rule 1(b) of Academic Regulations 2010 for B.Tech.(Regular)
However, number of Principles and Students (2010 admitted) of Affiliated Colleges are asking for clarification for the above academic regulation.
As per the directions of Hon’ble Vice – Chancellor and as per the approval in standing council of academic senate of JNTUK, Kakinada, the following clarification is furnished:
I : The student can be awarded degree for 200 credits by exempting maximum of 2 subjects of 2 credits each for I year (1stand 2nd Semester combined) and any one subject of 4 credits from II year to IV year of odd and even semesters.
II : The student can be awarded degree for 200 credits by exempting any 2 subjects of 4 credits each from II year to IV year of odd and even semesters.
Also, the students of 2010 batch admitted will be awarded B.Tech degrees as per the following grades listed below:

| E – AVERAGE | 40% to < 50% |
| D – SATISFACTORY | 50% to < 60% |
| C – FAIR | 60% to < 70% |
| B – GOOD | 70% to < 80% |
| A – EXCELLENT | 80% to < 90% |
| O – OUTSTANDING | 90 and above |

Sir I have 2 baclogs in 1-1 and that is (c programing and m1)remaining all subjects are completed . is am eligible to apply PC and if not what is process .

Sir i was joined r10 b.tech 2nd year as a lateral entry .In 4-2 semister i was detained due to health problem again was continued my 4-2 with r13 batch .in 3-2 , 1 subject I was not written so whether for me that subject will excepted as R10 8 credit scheme or not pls give answer

i wrote jntuk r10 supply exams in november 2016 and the result came in feb 2017 and I completed the my subjects in that results then what will be the year generated in pc certificate

if u belongs to R10 u can elgible
if u belongs to R13 you are not eligible

Sir! I got my pc but I left the subject M-II…..As jntuk norms…..Now cloud you please tell whether this gonna be a problem or not …In case of job searching (govt.and Pvt.)
No problem because everyone who cleared all subjects compulsory should leave any 8 credits to increase percentage .

No you cannot . Bcoz you have 10 credits . You can only leave 8 credits .

sir i have dought about lab subjects of physics 1 and physics 2 is it optional to leave these subjects r10 2011 batch pleasa clarify my dought becoz its including lab but i passed in my lab subjects but failed in theory
