Karnataka PGCET 1st Seat Allotment 2022

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is responsible for conducting the Karnataka PGCET examination for admission into various PG Courses such as MBA, MCA, M.Arch, M.Tech, and other courses. Candidates qualified in this examination will get admission in various Government / Private / Aided colleges of Karnataka. Based on the rank and category of the candidates the admission will be granted to them. The KEA is going to organize the PGCET examination in many examination centers across the state. Nearly 40,000 students are expected to attempt the examination. Overall 13 various papers will be conducted for aspirants seeking admission into various courses. The Karnataka PGCET will be conducted for Civil/ Chemical/ Electrical/ Mechanical/ Environmental Engineering/ Computer Science and Engineering/ Textile Technology/ Architecture/ Polymer Science and Technology/ Biotechnology/ Mathematics and Computer Science/ MBA/ MCA. Aspirants competed for Karnataka PGCET 2022 to get admission into various Postgraduate degree courses can visit the KEA official portal, kea.kar.in to check the seat allotment result. Aspirants can check their allotted colleges and courses information. There is a possibility to continue with the allotted options or they can edit/delete their preferences for courses/colleges.

M.Arch/ME/M.Tech Courses Seat Allotment Process:

Based on the GATE score and PGCET Rank, the admissions will be given into preferred PG courses for non-Karnataka and Karnataka aspirants. General category candidates. 90% of the total remaining seats (in General category) after allotment of seats to the GATE qualified candidates. GATE qualified candidates will be reserved for Karnataka candidates while the remaining percentage of seats will be for non-Karnataka candidates. All the eligible aspirants will get admission based on their rank and merit in GATE and PGCET examinations.

MCA Lateral Entry and 1st Year Courses Seat Allotment Process:

Candidates who qualified Karnataka PGCET 2022will get admission into MCA course based on their rank. Other than the MCA lateral entry rank holders, ME/M. Tech candidates along with PwD category will be listed in the Karnataka PGCET seat allotment result. Based on the rank of aspirants, the seat allotment list will be prepared by the authority.

MBA Course Seat Allotment Process:

Candidates who qualify the Karnataka PGCET 2019 with a good score will get shortlisted to get admission in MBA course. Other than the MBA rank holders, ME/M. Tech/MCA candidates of all the categories will get admission on the premise on their rank in the PGCET.

All the candidates who have participated in the Karnataka PGCET 2022 and qualified the examination with required score can proceed to check the seat allotment result. The organization will release the seat allotment result in 1st round, 2nd round, and various other rounds. Candidates who do not get the admission in 1st round can have the chance to get admission in the 2nd round seat allotment result. KEA PGCET seat allotment process will begin with the allocation of seats to the candidates belonging to the special category (Ex-Servicemen or PwD candidates) according to their ranks and priority of options.

Karnataka PGCET Seat Allotment Process

Option 1:

If candidates are satisfied with the allotted colleges/courses, they can lock the option and proceed with the admission. Candidates who allotted admission in the 1st round can proceed with the admission process by downloading the allotment order and paying the specified tuition fee. Students have to report at the allotted colleges along with all the required documents.

Option 2:

If candidates are not satisfied with the allotted option can proceed with the next rounds of seat allotment process. They can delete/edit their options as per their choice.

Option 3:

If the participants are satisfied with the allotted seat yet waiting for the next rounds for another better option. Candidates have to surrender the seat allotted to them and re-apply for the options they had already chosen during the option entry process.

Option 4:

If candidates not satisfied with the allotted option and want to quit, they can proceed to quit in any phase. The candidates will not be considered further for the seat allotment rounds.

  • Visit the official Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) website with the help of the link – cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/
  • On the homepage, click on the “Admission” tab near the Search Engine bar
  • Click on the link “PGCET 2021 MBA, MCA, M.Tech” link
  • Click on the “Seat Allotment” link
  • Now, enter the details of PGCET 2021application/Hall ticket number and click on the “Submit” button.
  • Go through the seat allotment result and download the seat allotment order.
