జేఎన్టీయూ ఇంజినీరింగ్ చివరి ఏడాది విద్యార్థులకు సబ్జెక్టు మినహాయింపు ఇక లేనట్టే..! ఫలితాల ప్రకటన తర్వాత క్రెడిట్స్ తక్కువ వచ్చాయంటూ అనుత్తీర్ణత సాధించామంటూ విద్యార్థులు వర్సిటీ చుట్టూ ప్రదక్షిణలు చేస్తున్నారు. వర్సిటీ చరిత్రలో తొలిసారిగా అత్యంత తక్కువ సమయంలోనే ప్రశ్నపత్రాలను మూల్యాంకనం చేసి పరీక్షల విభాగం అధికారులు ఫలితాలు ప్రకటించారు. ఈసారి గతం కంటే ఎక్కువగా 68శాతం ఉత్తీర్ణతశాతం నమోదైంది. ఈ క్రమంలో క్రెడిట్స్ విషయంలో తక్కువగా వచ్చాయని, గ్రేస్ మార్కులు కలపలేదని, సబ్జెక్టు మినహాయింపు ఇవ్వలేదంటూ విద్యార్థులు విమర్శిస్తున్నారు. వాస్తవానికి ఆయా వెసులుబాట్లు కల్పించినట్లు వర్సిటీ అధికారులు చెబుతున్నారు.
2018లో బీటెక్ లో చేరిన విద్యార్థులకు ఆర్18 నిబంధనలను జేఎన్టీయూ అమలు చేస్తోంది. ఆర్16 నిబంధనల కింద ఇంజినీరింగ్ విద్యార్థులకు 186 క్రెడిట్స్ ఉండేవి. అప్పట్లో 180 క్రెడిట్స్ సాధించినా సరిపోయేది. 2017 నుంచి దేశంలో ఇంజినీరింగ్ విద్యార్థులందరికీ ఒకే విధమైన క్రెడిట్స్ ఉండాలని ఏఐసీటీఈ నిర్ణయించింది. ఈ మేరకు బీటెక్ నాలుగేళ్లలో 160 క్రెడిట్ కు పరిమితం చేస్తూ.. ఆ మేరకు పూర్తిస్థాయిలో సాధిస్తే పట్టా అందుకునే వీలు కల్పించింది. ఈసారి ఆ స్థాయిలో క్రెడిట్స్ తెచ్చుకోలేక విద్యార్థులు అనుత్తీర్ణత సాధించారు. “ఇంజినీరింగ్ చివరి ఏడాది విద్యార్థులకు గ్రేస్ మార్కులు కలిపాం. ఆర్18 నిబంధనల ప్రకారం సబ్జెక్టులు తగ్గిపోయాయి. దీనివల్ల మినహాయింపు ఇవ్వడం సాధ్యం కాదు.” అని వర్సిటీ రిజిస్ట్రార్ మంజూహుస్సేన్ వివరించారు.
