Sub: JNTU, Hyderabad – Directorate of University Examinations – IV Year I Semester B.Tech / B.Pharmacy Computer Based Test (CBT) – March -2025-Notification – Instructions to the Principals-Reg.

All the Principals of the affiliated and University (Non-autonomous) colleges offering B.Tech / B.Pharmacy courses are hereby informed that the University Examination Branch issues notification for conduct of Computer Based Test (CBT) for IV Year I Semester, B.Tech/B.Pharmacy Regular students in the month of March -2025, who are absent for mid-term examination(s) conducted at the college. Further this CBT shall also be conducted for the student(s) who are transferred from other Universities/Autonomous colleges under JNTUH, and for the internal marks component of substitute subjects.

The CBT exam for IV Year I sem will commence from 04-03-2025 and are informed to note the schedule given below. The CBT exam registration service will be available from 10-02-2025.

The Principals are requested to note the following instructions:

1. The Computer Based Test (CBT) is intended to benefit the students who were absent during the mid examination conducted at the college. Further this CBT shall also be conducted for the student who are transferred from other Universities/Autonomous colleges under JNTUH, and for the internal marks component of substitute subjects.

2. The CBT will contain 25 objective questions from the entire syllabus of the subject and all are to be answered through online mode for 45 minutes duration for 25 marks (Each question carries 1 mark)

3. The transfer students from other Universities/institutions to JNTUH Affiliated Colleges who are on rolls are provided one chance to write the CBT(Internal examination) in the failed subjects and/ or subjects not studied as per the clearance letter issued by the University.

4. The Examination time Table and centers for the CBT will be notified later .

  • An additional 15 minutes will be provided despite the examination time, to go through the question paper clearly and to recheck their answers after attempting the examination.
  • There will not be separate internal marks. The examination will be held for 100 marks.
  • There will be no separate bit-paper. All the small, short, and long answer questions will be given in the same question paper.
  • An 18-Page Booklet will be given to write the answers. All the students have to answer in given booklets only. Students will not be provided with additional sheets.
  • AP State Government is going to introduce the waterproof marks memo. These new waterproof memos will not spoil if they exposed to water in any case. All the class 10th, Intermediate, and other memos are going to be issued the same from next year.
  • For each subject, 2 papers will be conducted for 50 marks each. For Hindi, there will be 1 paper. Hence the students need to attend 11 examinations.
  • Only Hindi paper will be held for 100 marks and remaining subject papers will be held for 50 marks each [5 subjects X 10 papers].
  • Overall, students need to score 35 or above in both the papers of one subject to clear the examination.

As marry as 9.65 lakh students has written the examinations at 1,600 examination centres Out of which 4,76,419 students are written the first year examinations, while 4,31,739 students appeared for the second year examinations. The examinations are held from 9 am to 12 noon. Also 48949 students has written Intermediate first & Second year vocational examinations. The practical examinations are conducted in the jumbling system. While, first year candidates will get grades and second year candidates will be given marks.

Tentative Final/ Public Exam Dates:

  • The Ethics and Human Values Examination to conducted on 01.02.2025 (Saturday) from 10.00 A.M to 1.00 P.M (one day).
  • The Environmental Education Examination to conducted on 03.02.2025 (Monday) from 10.00 A.M to 1.00 P.M (one day).
  • Samagra Siksha Vocational Trade Examination (NSQF – Level 4) Theory Shall be Conducted on 22-02-2025 (Saturday) from 10 AM to 12 PM.
  • The Practical Examinations will be conducted from 10-02-2025 (monday) to 20-02-2025 (Thursday) for General courses and 05-02-2025 to 20-02-2025 for vocational intermediate courses respectively From 9 Am to 12 Noon and 2PM to 5PM.
