AP Govt Holidays 2025 List Download (General & Optional Holidays)

AP Govt Holidays 2025 List: The Government of Andhra Pradesh has specified General Holidays and Optional Holidays for the Year 2025. Check AP Govt Public holidays 2025 list, Government shall remain closed on all Sundays and Second Saturdays in all the months during the year 2025.

HOLIDAYS – General Holidays and Optional Holidays for the year 2025 – Notified.

  • The Government of Andhra Pradesh direct that the days specified in Annexure-I shall be observed as General Holidays by all the State Government offices excluding the holidays falling on Second Saturdays/Sundays shown in Annexure-I(A) and Optional Holidays shown in Annexure-II except the Optional Holidays falling on Second Saturdays/Sundays shown in Annexure-II(A) during the year 2025.
  • The State Government direct that all the offices under State Government shall remain closed on all Sundays and Second Saturdays in all the months during the year 2025.
  • In addition to the above mentioned General Holidays in Annexure-I, the State Government employees may avail themselves of Optional Holidays not exceeding five (5) during the year 2025 on the festivals / occasions specified in Annexure-II to this order at their option and irrespective of the religion to which the festival pertains to. The permission to avail any of these holidays shall be applied for, in writing in advance and shall normally be granted by the Superior Officers competent to grant Casual Leave except when the presence of an individual employee is considered necessary in the exigencies of Government work.
  • The Government also direct that General Holidays shall not ipso-facto apply to the Industrial Establishments and Public Sector Undertakings under the control of the State Government, the workmen engaged in Public Works Department and Educational Institutions in the State. Separate orders regarding the festivals/ occasions when these Institutions have to observe holidays shall be issued by the concerned Administrative Department of the Secretariat.
  • If there is any change of date in respect of Ramzan, Bakrid, Moharrum and Eid Milad-un-Nabi as per the sighting of the Moon or any other holiday of Hindu festival as well, it shall be announced through electronic/print media. All the Departments of Secretariat and Heads of Departments and District Collectors shall take action according to such an announcement and without waiting for formal order about the change of date.

    i) For theory subject, the distribution shall be 30 marks for Internal Evaluation and 70 marks for the End-Examination.

    ii) For practical subject, the distribution shall be 30 marks for Internal Evaluation and 70 marks for the End- Examination.

    iii) If any course contains two different branch subjects, the syllabus shall be written in two parts with 3 units each (Part-A and Part-B) and external examination question paper shall be set with two parts each for 35 marks.

    iv) If any subject is having both theory and practical components, they will be evaluated separately as theory subject and practical subject. However, they will be given same subject code with an extension of ‘T’ for theory subject and ‘P’ for practical subject.

    a) Continuous Internal Evaluation

    i) For theory subjects, during the semester, there shall be two midterm examinations. Each midterm examination shall be evaluated for 30 marks of which 10 marks for objective paper (20 minutes duration), 15 marks for subjective paper (90 minutes duration) and 5 marks for assignment.

    ii) Objective paper shall contain for 05 short answer questions with 2 marks each or maximum of 20 bits for 10 marks. Subjective paper shall contain 3 either or type questions (totally six questions from 1 to 6) of which student has to answer one from each either-or type of questions. Each question carries 10 marks. The marks obtained in the subjective paper are condensed to 15 marks.

    Note:

    The objective paper shall be prepared in line with the quality of competitive examinations questions.

    The subjective paper shall contain 3 either or type questions of equal weightage of 10 marks. Any fraction shall be rounded off to the next higher mark.

    The objective paper shall be conducted by the respective institution on the day of subjective paper test.

    Assignments shall be in the form of problems, mini projects, design problems, slip tests, quizzes etc., depending on the course content. It should be continuous assessment throughout the semester and the average marks shall be considered.

    iii) If the student is absent for the mid semester examination, no re-exam shall be conducted and mid semester marks for that examination shall be considered as zero.

    iv) First midterm examination shall be conducted for I, II units of syllabus with one either or type question from each unit and third either or type question from both the units. The second midterm examination shall be conducted for III, IV and V units with one either or type question from each unit.

    v) Final mid semester marks shall be arrived at by considering the marks secured by the student in both the mid examinations with 80% weightage given to the better mid exam and 20% to the other. For Example:

    Marks obtained in first mid: 25

    Marks obtained in second mid: 20

    Final mid semester Marks: (25×0.8) + (20×0.2) = 24

    If the student is absent for any one midterm examination, the final mid semester marks shall be arrived at by considering 80% weightage to the marks secured by the student in the appeared examination and zero to the other. For Example:

    Marks obtained in first mid: Absent

    Marks obtained in second mid: 25

    Final mid semester Marks: (25×0.8) + (0x0.2) =20

    The Staff Selection Commission has scheduled the Grade C and Grade D written test on 10th & 11th December 2024. The examination will be held in morning and afternoon shifts. This time, the SSC going to conduct the CBT for the applicants. Earlier the SSC used to conduct the pen-paper based examination, while the SSC is going to organize the CBT this year.     The reports/OMR sheets of the above exams are to be submitted in person to CE office on 12.12.2024 (Thursday) & 13.12.2024 (Friday).

    The Principals of B.Tech Colleges are hereby informed that the University Examination Branch issues notification for conducting of BBA I Year I Semester Regular/Supplementary examinations in the month of December 2024/January 2025.

    JNTUA Examination Notification is issued to conduct the following examinations:

    • BBA I Year I Semester (R24) Supplementary Examinations – December 2024/January 2025 [For 2024 Admitted Batches only]

    Candidates appearing for the above examinations commencing from 30-12-2024 are informed that the applications will be received as per the time schedule given below:
