GATE 2017: 10 Instructions to the Candidate Before The Examination Starts

Candidates who are appearing for the GATE 2017 Exam should follow the instructions listed below : Exam Rules And Regulations

This Admit Card must be presented for verification along with at least one original (not photocopy or scanned copy) valid photo identification proof (for example: College ID, Employer ID, Driving License, Passport, PAN card, Voter ID, Aadhaar-UID).
This Admit Card is valid only if the candidate’s photograph and signature images are legible. To ensure this, please take a clearly legible, preferably colour print-out of this admit card on an A4 sized paper.
Candidates must report at the examination venue 60 minutes before scheduled commencement of the examination. Candidates will be permitted to appear for the examination ONLY after their credentials are verified by centre officials.
Candidates will be permitted to occupy their allotted seats 35 minutes before the scheduled start of the examination.
Candidates can login and start reading the necessary instructions 20 minutes before start of the examination.
Candidates are advised to locate the examination centre and its accessibility at least a day before the examination, so that they can reach the centre on time for the examination.
NO CANDIDATE WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER THE EXAMINATION HALL AFTER 09:30 HOURS IN THE FORENOON SESSION AND AFTER 14:30 HOURS IN THE AFTERNOON SESSION.
Candidates will not be permitted to leave the examination hall before the end of the examination.
A virtual scientific calculator will be available on computer screen during the examination. Personal calculators, mobile phones or any other electronic devices are not allowed in the examination hall. Candidates should not bring any charts/tables/papers into the examination hall. GATE authorities will not be responsible for safe keep of candidates’ personal belongings.
Scribble pads will be provided to candidates for rough work. A candidate has to write his/her name and registration number on the scribble pad before he/she starts using it.The scribble pad must be returned to the invigilator at the end of the examination.

CHANGE IN THE QUESTION PAPER PATTERN FOR APRIL/MAY-2017 – EXAMINATIONS

U.G. Candidates those who are appearing for FOURTH SEMESTER under Regulations 2013 (Both Regular and Arrear) shall have the New Pattern of question paper except for MATHEMATICS. Also some subjects of Fourth semester are common with other semesters. Examinations for these Subjects are also to be conducted under New Pattern. The details are given below. The change in the Question paper pattern for Third semester examinations has been notified already for November / December 2016 Examinations dated 18/07/2016.

NEW PATTERN:

PART:- A

10 x 2 = 20 Marks (Answer All the Questions)

PART:- B

5 x 13 = 65 Marks (Answer the Questions Either or Choice)

PART:- C

1 x 15 = 15 Marks (Either or Choice) However for case study/Comprehensive type Questions, there will be no choice.

But due to certain problems like a) Student, father name wrongly printed on provisional Certificate (verify with SSC) b) Scanned copies like (SSC, Photo, Provisional Certificate, CMM) are not uploaded properly. So, the original degree could not issue.

So, the students are requested to submit the following documents at University Examination Section from 17-01-2017 to 30-01-2017 otherwise the application is kept in hold it will not process further.

1) Application form filled by the candidate

2) Xerox copy of SSC Certificate

3) Xerox copy of Provisional Certificate

4) Xerox copy of Consolidated Marks memo (only for B. Tech/B. Pharmacy Courses)

5) Xerox copies of all years mark memos

6) Latest passport size photo(it will be printed on original certificate)

7) Xerox copy of Online Payment form(it must contain Bank refno, payment date, amount)

JNTUH Students Cancelling Admission-Return of Original Certificates/Refund of Fee – Instructions

It is to inform you that the Principals /Managements of JNTUH Affiliated / Autonomous Colleges, to strictly follow the following Guidelines on punitive actions issued by the AICTE:

1. In the event of a student withdrawing before the starting of the Course, the entire fee collected from the student, after a deduction of the processing fee of not more than Rs. 1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) shall be refunded by the institution. It would not be permissible for institutions to retain the School/Institution Leaving Certificates in original.

2. Should a student leave after joining the Course and if the vacated seat is consequently filled by another student by the last date of admission, the institution must refund the fee collected after a deduction of the processing fee of not more than Rs.1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) and proportionate deduction of monthly fee and proportionate hostel rent, where applicable. In case the vacated seat is not filled, the institution should refund the security deposit and return the original documents.

3. Institution should not demand fee for the subsequent years from the students who cancel their admission at any point of time.

4. Fee refund along with the return of Certificates should be completed within 7 days.

5. Institutions not following guidelines issued by the Council regarding refund of fee on cancellation of admission or delaying refunds shall be liable to any one or more of the following punitive actions by the Council.

Fine for non-compliance of refund of fee levied against each case shall be twice the total fee collected per student.
Suspension of approval for supernumerary seats, if any for one Academic Year
Reduction in “Approved Intake“
No admission in one/more Courses for one Academic Year
Withdrawal of approval for Programme/Course
