JNTUK Enrollment of Supervisor / Co-supervisor in the prescribed format for the research scholars

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada, Kakinada has advertised for the research scholars – (Full time/ Part time) in various disciplines.  Accordingly, the research scholars in various disciplines are likely to be admitted in this year. It is advised by the UGC, New Delhi that the research scholars of the University have to be supervised by the regular faculty members working in the University or its affiliated institutions.  Thereby, the faculty members working in the affiliated institutions/ research centers of this University are requested to enroll as supervisors/Co-Supervisors in the following disciplines.

Faculty members working in the University colleges or research centres will be identified as Supervisors / Co-Supervisors and research scholars will be allocated. It may be noted that the if any research scholar is having supervisor / Co-supervisor from constituent unit / research centre, then the faculty members working the affiliated institutions will be considered only as Co-Supervisor / Supervisor.

The Eligibility criteria to supervise / Co-Supervise the research scholar admitted in 2015-16 are as follows.

If the Supervisor / Co-Supervisor is from any affiliated institute, then Co-Supervisor / Supervisor is mandatory from the constituent colleges of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada.

The eligibility criteria to act as Supervisor / Co-Supervisor are as follows.

• Faculty member / Scientist should have Ph.D qualification from State University/Central University/IITs’/IIMs/NITs/IISc or any other UGC recognized private University.
• Faculty member / Scientist should have research experience of minimum one year duration after completion of Ph.D.
• Faculty member / Scientist should have at least four peer reviewed National and International Journal publications and at least one out of them should be after acquiring Ph.D.
• Any Faculty member / Scientist can not supervise for more than 08 Ph.D candidates as main supervisor at any given point of time.
• Maximum of three Ph.D scholars are permitted to register with a Supervisor per year.
• Faculty member interested to supervise / co-supervise the candidate registered in JNT University, Kakinada, should submit the no objection certificate from the employer.

The faculty members satisfying the eligibility criteria and working in affiliated institutions are requested to enroll as Supervisor /Co-Supervisor in this University by sending their Biodata in the prescribed format.

The faculty members in the disciplines which are not available in the University colleges or affiliated institutions will be considered from the Higher learning Institutions, as Supervisors / Co-Supervisors with approval of the University authorities.

The last date to receive the Biodata’s (Hard copy only) in the prescribed format is 15^th October, 2015.
