JNTU-Kakinada University Officially Released The Press& University Official Website Notification On Thursday(16-10-2014) About JNTUK Postponed All The Examinations – Notification Released On 17-10-2014. JNTUK Director of Evaluation,Ch.Sai Babu Garu Anounced that All The Examinations Scheduled Before 26th Are Postponed. Due To Cyclone Effect The Normal Schedules Are Changed and Giving New Dates. JNTUk 2-1 R13 1st mid And 3-1 R10  1st Mid Exams  and 4-1 2nd mid Exams Will be Starts From Oct 27,2014.  JNTUk 4-1 Semester Exams Will Be Starts From November 10,2014. Several Internal and External Examinations are scheduled in the months of October / November 2014.The Hud Hud cyclone on 12.10.2014 has badly affected several districts of our jurisdiction.Immediately after Hud Hud cyclone several examinations have been rescheduled. The normal
working conditions in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam districts under JNTUK jurisdiction have not yet restored. Still several Principals are requesting to postpone these examinations further.Under these circumstances the Vice — Chancellor, JNTUK is pleased to permit the revised dates of examinations for various classes as per the details mentioned Above Image And Official Notification:

Sub: JNTUK – Examination Section – Revaluation by Challenge for Pre Ph.D examinations – Reg.

Ref: Note File approval of the Hon’ble Vice – Chancellor, dt. 08.10.2014.

Presently, Revaluation by challenge facility is applicable for all UG & PG examinations conducted by the University.

The results of Pre Ph.D examinations conducted in August 2014 have been released in the month of September 2014. Many representations are received from the research students to extend Revaluation by challenge facility to them also.

Under the circumstances stated above, Vice – Chancellor is pleased to extend the Revaluation by challenge facility to the research scholars appearing for Pre Ph.D examinations.

The modalities of Challenge valuation are specified below:

  • A Challenging fee of Rs. 10,000/- for subject is to be paid by the candidate for revaluation by challenge.
  • The revaluation will be carried out by a committee consisting of three subject experts out of which one expert shall be the choice of research scholar (preferably suggested by Supervisor / Co-supervisor).
  • The other two subject experts are nominated by the University.
  • The candidate will forfeit the challenging fee if the difference in the marks given by the committee is less than 15% of the maximum marks compared to the earlier marks.
  • If the marks are more than 15% and there is a change in the status i.e fail to pass, the challenge valuation fee will be returned to the candidate.
  • After the challenge valuation, if the marks are more than 15% and there is a change in the status i.e fail to pass, the new marks will be awarded, otherwise, the previous marks will remain.
  • The required fee shall be paid in the form of Demand Draft favouring “Registrar, JNTUK, Kakinada”.
  • All the requests by the candidates have to be submitted in person / by post to Director of Evaluation, JNTUK, Kakinada on or before 31.10.2014.

As per ‘R13’ academic regulations (for the students admitted from 2013-14 onwards) the distribution of internal and external marks in respect of theory subjects is 30 marks and 70 marks respectively. The total internal marks (30) are distributed in three components as follows:

1. Descriptive (subjective type) examination : 15 marks
2. Assignment : 05 marks
3. Objective type examination (multiple choice) : 10 marks

Last academic year i.e 2013-14, for R13 batch admitted students, the third component i.e objective type examination is conducted at the college level for duration of 20 minutes with 20 multiple choice objective type questions with a weightage of ½ mark each.

From this academic year (2014-15), it is decided to conduct the objective type examination online from the University end with same weightage and duration.

Hence, the Principals of affiliated and constituent colleges are hereby informed to conduct the objective type examination online from academic year 2014-15 onwards for all the students admitted in R13 regulations. They are further informed to stick to the examination schedules notified by the University.

In II B. Tech I Semester (R13 regulation), the syllabus of the subject ‘Computer Aided Engineering Drawing Practice’ consists of two majors portions:
1. Unit I to III (PART A) – Conventional drawing pattern
2. Unit IV to VI (PART B) – Computer lab pattern using any drafting packages

The distribution of internal and external marks is 30 marks and 70 marks respectively and both internal and external examination of the subject is conducted at the concerned college in the following pattern:
Internal Evaluation: Max. Marks: 30
The total internal evaluation marks are distributed in following two components:
1. Day-to-day work : 20 marks
2. Internal test : 10 marks

I Mid (Internal Test 1) Examination Part A – Conventional drawing Exam
II Mid (Internal Test 2) Examination Part B – In Computer Lab

Note: The duration of the internal test is 2 hours and it must be conducted as per the schedules notified. The internal test may be conducted for 40 marks and it may be reduced to 10 marks.
End Semester Examination : (Total Duration: 4 Hours, Max. Marks: 70)
PART A – Conventional drawing pattern (Duration: 2 Hours, Marks: 35)
PART B – Computer lab pattern using any drafting packages (Duration: 2 Hours, Marks: 35)
Note: both PART A and PART B are compulsory and are to be conducted in separate sessions.

Since the pattern of the internal and external examination is not specified in the R13 academic regulations, the clarification is herewith furnished.
