Uttar Pradesh Govt to launch internship scheme for school college students

Uttar Pradesh state government has launched an internship scheme for the students of class 10th, class 12th, and Graduation. The internship scheme was announced at a job fair organized by the Department of Labour and Employment Exchange at Gorakhpur University. This scheme was launched with an intention to increase job opportunities in the state. The internship will be for a duration of 6 months; students contributing their knowledge will get a stipend of Rs 2,500 per month for 6 months.

Addressing the public in Gorakhpur, CM Adityanath said, “Our effort is to open an ITI and skill development centre in each tehsil of the state which can give a platform to the youth for their skills.”

  • Duration: 6 months to a year
  • Stipend: Rs 2,500 per month

UP Internship scheme was launched with an integration of various technical institutes and industries in the state. Under this scheme, the central government will be sponsoring a sum of Rs 1500 while the state contribution is Rs 1000.

Students who have completed the internship will have more job opportunities; for this, a special HR cell will be created. This internship scheme will be considered 20% of girls as a compulsory option. After the completion of the internship, girls will be given the priority in recruitments.

 “This year we are going to come up with an internship scheme. Each youth who will do an internship for 6 months and one year will be given Rs 2,500 as honorarium every month,” he said.
