CBSE to conduct single board exam for Classes X and XII from next year

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to organize a single board exam for class 10 and class 12 from 2022-23 academic sessions. Due to the COVID pandemic, the board has split the academic examinations to term 1 and term 2 for 2021-22 batch. While the CBSE board has taken the decision to re-store single board exams pattern from next year onwards.

CBSE to conduct single board exam for Classes X and XII from next year

The CBSE board has divided the board exams into term I and term II for the academic session 2021-22. The term I exams were organized in November-December months and the Term II exams were scheduled from 26^th April. The board has announced that more weightage will be given to the term 2 examinations.

While, before year the examinations were cancelled due to COVID surge and the results were declared by considering the internal assessment marks, practical examinations, and previous examination results of the students.

After the request from several schools, the CBSE board has taken the decision to organize the examinations at the end of the academic year as earlier.

“CBSE never announced that the two-term exam format will be continued henceforth. It was a one-time formula. Now that schools are functioning in full capacity, the decision, for now, is to stick to the one-time exam format,” said the official.

The Jamia Millia Islamia, or JMI, has started the online registration process to offer admissions to its schools. Students seeking admission to the Jamia Senior Secondary School, Jamia Girls Sr Secondary School (S/F), SAH Sr Secondary School (S/F), including primary section, and Mushir Fatma Nursery School can apply online at JMI official portal, Jmicoe.in . The JMI will accept applications till May 13. Applicants need to pay a sum of Rs 300 towards application fee.

The Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Technical Education (APSCTE) has scheduled the Arunachal Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination [known as APJEE] on 25^th June. The application process for the same will be starting from 19^th April on APSCTE official portal, – apdhte.nic.in. Aspirants seeking admission in various three-year diploma programmes in Arunachal Pradesh can apply before the last date 15^th June 2022.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has recently released the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2022 notification and also accepting applications from eligible and interested aspirants. NEET UG Application process was started on 6^th April. The last date to apply for NEET UG 2022 is 6^th May. Candidates seeking admission in various undergraduate degree medicine courses can apply for the NEET examination through online at neet.nta.nic.in. The NEET UG examination will be held on 17^th July; it is the pen-paper-based examination. This examination will be conducted in a large number of examination centers across the nation.

NEET UG 2022: Exam Pattern, Required Documents, Application Fee Details

NEET 2022 will be conducted in 13 languages – English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, and Urdu.

The common Universities Entrance Test (CUET) 2022 registration process is presently active. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started accepting CUET 2022 application forms on the official website, cuet.samarth.ac.in. Candidates filling the application form are required to select 4 cities of their choice while filling out the application form.

CUET 2022, Eligibility Criteria, Exam Pattern, Application Process

CUET examination will be held in 13 languages English, Hindi, Bengali, Assamese, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Tamil, Punjabi, Telugu, and Urdu. NTA will accept application forms till 6^th May. The CUET examination will be held in 547 cities in India and 13 cities outside India. Students who are seeking to apply for the CUET 2022 will have to pay the concerned application fee online.

CUET 2022: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have completed their plus 2/Intermediate/class 12 or second year students can also apply for the CUET [UG] examination.

There is no upper age limit for admissions into UG courses. But if the admitting college is having any age limit criteria, students have to fulfill it.

CUET 2022: Paper Pattern

Section IA– There will be 13 languages. Students can select one among them. This is the language section. Students need to attempt 40 questions out of 50 questions in their selected language. Reading comprehension and other language-related questions will be asked in this section.

Section IB – There will be 19 Languages in this section. Choose any one of these languages. The question type of this section is similar to section IA.

Section II – There are 27 Domains of specific subjects being offered under this Section. A candidate may choose a maximum of Six Domains as desired by the applicable University or Universities. The questions will be MCQ Based Questions on NCERT Class XII syllabus.

Section III General Test– For any such undergraduate programme/ programmes being offered by Universities where a General Test is being used for admission. 60 Questions to be attempted out of 75 including MCQ, Current Affairs, General Knowledge, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability etc.
