The Andhra University will remain closed from 09-03-2021 to 14-03-2021, 09-03-2021 to facilitate students and staff to reach their respective home towns to cast their votes, leaving the public holidays on 10-03-2021 (being Election Holiday), 11-03-2021 (being Mahasivarathri), 13-03-2021 (being Second Saturday) and 14-03-2021 (being Sunday), as the District Administration utilizing the Andhra University premises for housing safe custody of election material for conduct of ordinary elections to Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation, Visakhapatnam on 10-03-2021 and followed by counting process on 14-03-2021 , without prejudice to examination and urgent work if any.
The University declares holiday on 12-03-2021 due to non-availability of University premises. which are utilized by the District Administration until counting process is completed and in lieu of this holiday, the University will work on 10-04-2021 (Second Saturday).
