Panchayati Raj Minister Peddireddy Ramachandrareddy, Municipal Minister Botsa Satyanarayana, Panchayati Raj Principal Secretary Gopalakrishna Dwivedi, Commissioner Girijashankar, APPSC, Municipal, Agriculture and Animal Husbandry officials were attended the review meeting.

AP Village/Ward Secretariat Exams 2020 – It is informed to all the Applicants and others concerned, that Exams will start from 20th September 2020. Detailed Schedule will be released soon.

As a result of the meeting, the government has taken a decision to conduct the examinations for Village and ward secretariat posts from 20th September. The village, Ward Secretariat Examinations will be conducted on weekdays. It is estimated that about 10 lakh candidates will appear for the exams. Also, It is estimated that up to 4.5 lakh people will take the exams on the first day. About 3,000 to 5,000 test centers will be set up for the exams.

As the COVID spikes dangerously, the government is planning to take all the safety measures like, social distancing, sanitization, and others.

The ministers have specified to focus on filling the Animal Husbandry Assistant posts. The AP Government has recently committed an agreement with Amul Company. The Government has ordered that the examination process should be made more transparent. On the coming Monday, a video conference has been planned with the ministers, higher officials regarding the Village secretariat exams.

No Degree Without Final Year Exams by September 30: Supreme Court

No Degree Without Final Year Exams: The Supreme Court on Friday (August 28) ordered that no state government and universities can promote final year students without holding final year university examinations amid the COVID-19 pandemic, reported PTI.

However, the Court gave states the discretion to approach the University Grants Commission (UGC) for an extension of the deadline by which final year exams should be completed. A bench headed by Justice Ashok Bhushan said if any state feels they can’t conduct exams by that date, they must approach the UGC for new dates to hold the exam.

The Supreme Court said that final year exams must be held and that students cannot be promoted without holding exams. Final Year Exams To Be Held, Can’t Promote Students Without It

Final year college examinations must be held this year but states can ask for the dates to be deferred beyond September 30 if they wanted to because of the coronavirus crisis, the Supreme Court said today. “State cannot promote students without final year examinations,” the top court asserted.

Several petitions, including one by the Yuva Sena of Maharashtra minister Aaditya Thackeray, had called for the exams to be cancelled because of Covid-19. The petitions referred to difficulties faced by students at a time all educational institutions were closed due to the virus crisis. They argued that students have completed five semesters and had a Cumulative Grade Point Average or CGPA, which could be the basis for results without final examinations.

Sub:- SBTET – Academics Commencement of online classes from 1st September, 2020 onwards Instructions issued Regarding:-

In pursuance of the Orders issued by the Government vide references 1st to 3 rd cited, the Commissioner of Technical Education, vide reference 4th Cited directed the Secretary, SBTET to instruct the Principals of Private/Aided/II shift Polytechnics in Engineering Colleges in the Telangana State to conduct online classes on various Digital/TV/T-SAT Platforms from 1st September, 2020 onwards.

In this regard, the Principals of Private/Aided/II shift Polytechnics in Engineering Colleges across the Telangana State are informed to instruct the respective faculty to attend the college from 27.08.2020 and prepare E- Content, lesson plans etc.. Further, you are also requested to make necessary arrangements to commence online classes on various Digital/TV/T-SAT Platforms from 1st September, 2020 onwards without fail.

Palamuru University Commencement of Online Classes from 01-09-2020 For A.Y 2020-21

Sub: palamuru University — COVID-19 pandemic — Academic Year 2020 2021- Commencement of Online Classes in Colleges – Circular – Issued.

Anent to the subject cited above, Higher Education (MC) Department, Government of Telangana and Telangana State Council of Higher Education, Hyderabad, have issued Memo, under reference cited, informing that the State Government of Telangana have decided to permit online classes on various digital /TV/T-SAT platforms as part of e-learning and Distance Education for Degree, PG and Professional Courses from 1st September, 2020 in all colleges. It is also instructed that all the Teaching Staff shall attend the respective colleges regularly w.e.f. 27-08-2020 onwards and shall prepare e-content, lesson plans, etc. With regard to reopening of colleges and commencement of regular classes, separate instructions will be issued as per Government of India guidelines. until then, all colleges shall remain physically closed for students and classes. Further, informed that, the dates for conducting UG / PG Examinations will be decided on the basis of the outcome of the case, which is pending before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.

As per the instructions of the State Government of Telangana, all the Teaching Staff of the Campus, Constituent and Affiliated Colleges under the jurisdiction of Palamuru university shall attend the respective colleges regularly w.e.f. 27-08-2020 onwards and shall prepare e-content, lesson plans, etc., for Online Classes scheduled to be commenced from September, 2020.

Nevertheless, all Colleges, Hostels and Libraries under the jurisdiction of Palamuru University shall remain physically closed for students until further instructions by the Government of Telangana.

All the Administrative Offices of the Colleges and the University shall function with 100% staff without any restrictions.

The Vice-Chancellor has also ordered to request the Principals/Chief Superintendents of UG Examinations Centers to follow the safety measures of Covid-19 as prescribed by the Government/Health Department and to take necessary precautions.
