State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada informs that the results of Common Entrance Examination for admission into Polytechnic (POLYCET-2024) which was held on 27th april is scheduled to be released on 8th May at 11 AM.

The Andhra Pradesh POLYCET (Polytechnic Common Entrance Test) examination has successfully completed on 10th May Aspirants seeking Polytechnic/Diploma courses admission have appeared in massive numbers this year. As per the announcement by State Board of Technical Education, AP this year 1 lakh+ candidates have applied for the AP POLYCET examination while – hopefuls have appeared for the examination. The AP Technical Education Commissioner has expressed this news to the media. Overall, the AP POLYCET examination has organized in 499 examination centres across AP.

Results of AP Polycet 2024 Examination & Ranking

The minimum marks for declaring a candidate to have passed in the Entrance examination shall be thirty percent i.e., 36 marks out of 120. Candidates belonging to Scheduled castes or Scheduled Tribes shall be assigned ranking irrespective of the marks obtained in the entrance test. Such candidates even less than 30% marks in POLYCET-2024 shall be eligible to compete for their category of seats during the admission. The marks obtained at the entrance test shall be considered for the purpose of assigning rank, on the basis of which, selection shall be made for admission into diploma courses. The above rules are subject to any amendments that may be issued by the Government from time to time.

Every care will be taken to avoid errors in the valuation of answer sheets, tabulation of results and ranking of the candidates. Hence, request for revaluation or re-totaling will not be entertained under any circumstances. In case of a tie in rank at entrance test, the marks of the following subjects at Entrance Test in the same order as given below shall be considered for resolving the tie. i) Mathematics ii) Physics iii) Date of Birth While resolving the tie basing on the Date of birth as entered in the S.S.C. Certificate of the Candidate, candidate born earlier will be deemed to have obtained higher rank (better rank). In case the tie is still not resolved, the candidate who has secured higher percentage of marks in the qualifying test will be considered to have obtained a better rank, to resolve the tie.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATE

1. Please ensure that the details printed in the Hall Ticket viz. Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Category and Stream are correct. In case of any discrepancy, get it to the notice of AP EAPCET help line center through phone or mail(Preferable) immediately for necessary action.

2. Hall ticket shall be shown at the Entrance of the Test Centre and also in the Examination Hall, failing which the candidates will not be allowed to write the test.

3. Candidates will be permitted to appear for the examination only after their credentials are verified by the centre officials.

4. The candidate shall carry into the Examination hall (i) Black/Blue Ball Point Pen (ii) Hall Ticket and (iii) Filled in Online Application form along with attested copy of Caste certificate (in case of SC/STcategory only)

5. Candidate will be permitted into the Examination Hall from —

6. Candidate will not be permitted into the Examination Hall once the test commences —. Candidates will not be allowed into the examination hall even if they are late by one minute.

7. Follow the instructions announced by the invigilator carefully. After loginin, go through the instructions displayed on the screen carefully and follow the list of symbols for answering online examination.No clarifications or doubts related to the questions of the examination paper will be entertained during the examination.

8. If you face any hardware or software problems with the computer system provided, please inform the same to the Invigilators for rectifying the problem immediately.
In case the problem is not rectified within reasonable time, you will be provided with another system. The time lost for changing the system will be compensated.

9. The checkin procedure inside the Examination hall includes capturing of biometric information (your photo and left hand thumb impression). This is a security feature which will allow AP EAMCET 2021 authorities to verify your identity and also to check impersonation. Therefore, you are advised not to apply any external matters like Mehandi, Ink etc. on their Hands/Foot.

10. Carrying of Calculators, Mathematical/ Log Tables, Pagers, Cell Phones, Watches (all types), Large Spectacles, any other Electronic Gadgets and loose sheets of paper into the examination hall is strictly prohibited.

11. Candidate is permitted to write the Examination only once, though he/she has submitted multiple applications. The performance in the first appearance is only be considered, but for otherwise.

12. Adoption of any kind of unfair means and any act of impersonation during the time of test will render the applicant liable for invalidation of his/her performance in the Examination. Further he/she will forfeit the claim of appearing for the test and will make him/her liable for criminal action.

13. Complete the Filled in Online Application Form by affixing photograph duly attested by a Gazetted officer / Principal of the college where you have studied should be handed over to Invigilator after signing in the presence of Invigilator. Otherwise the candidate’s result will be withheld.

14. There may not be a guaranteed security facility for safekeeping of your valuable devices or personal belongings outside the examination hall.

15. Issue of Hall Ticket and appearance at the test does not automatically entitle the candidate for admission in to a College.

16. No traveling expenses will be paid for the journey to take up the test.

17. Blank papers will be provided for rough work in the examination hall. Candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination center without handing over the rough sheet to the invigilator concerned after the end of the examination.

18. Contact the center chief Superintendent / Invigilator in the room for any technical assistance during the course of examination if required.

19. Hall Ticket must be preserved till the time of admission into the college.

Signing up for DigiLocker (digilocker.gov.in) is easy – all you need is a mobile number. The mobile number will be authenticated by sending an OTP (one-time password) followed by selecting a username and password. This will create the DigiLocker account. After the DigiLocker account is successfully created, one can download the digitally signed documents issued by the CISCE.

About WBBME: The Madrasah Education system in Bengal was grown up and flourished with the foundation of the Calcutta Madrasah in 1780 by the British East India Company. In 1915, the new scheme of Madrasah Education was introduced by the initiatives of Moulana Abu Nasar Mohammad Waheed, I.E.S., the renowned educationist and administrator and the then Principal of Dacca Senior Madrasah. The East Bengal Secondary Education Board (1921), the Board of Islamic Intermediate and Secondary Education Dacca for High Madrasah Education (1922) and the Central Madrasah Examination Board for Senior Madrasah Education (1927) were established to conduct the Madrasah Examinations till 1947. As per recommendation of the Moazzamuddin Committee (1946), the Central Madrasah Examination Board was converted to the Madrasah Education Board, Bengal and later, in 1950 it was renamed as the West Bengal Madrasah Education Board, the oldest Board of Madrasah Education in our Country.

Madrasah Education in West Bengal: The term ‘Madrasah’ is an Arabic word meaning educational institution or school imparting education to all irrespective of religion, caste, creed and gender. The idea that it imparts religious and theology based education to a particular religion is not true. In fact, the Madrasah education in West Bengal is fulfilling the constitutional commitment by providing access to free education up to secondary level for the most deprived people most of whom are first generation learners live in rural areas where avenues and opportunities are markedly limited. Most of the Madrasahs are situated in the remote rural areas of the state and they were founded with the initiative of community donations. In course of time, these Madrasahs were recognised by the Board and funded by the Government. West Bengal was the first state to offer recognition to Madrasahs and to convert the Board into statutory body in 1994. Recognizing the importance of Madrasah education in the state the Department namely Minority Affairs and Madrasah Education along with the Directorate of Madrasah Education and a separate teaching & non-teaching staff recruitment commission for Madrasahs namely Madrasah Service Commission has also been established has been created and is now functional.
