Guna sekar Paper 1 cut off: 35 marks for obc and sc, general 40marks but ur score 20 is very low. I think u cant clear, however in paper 2 u scored 140 thereis no use both r important, we will see
Dear Gunasekaran,
No need to worry for minimum marks for eligibility (ie. 40% for General and 35% for others).
Clause XII of the revised notification (as per UGC Letter F4-2/90 (NET) dated 23rd January 2018) says,
"PROCEDURE & CRITERIA FOR DECLARATION OF RESULTS:
Top 6% of the appearing Candidates who appear in both Papers I & II and secure at least
40% aggregate marks for Candidates belonging to General / OBC (Creamy Layer) Category
and atleast 35% aggregate Marks for Candidates belonging to OBC (Non Creamy Layer) /
SC / ST / PwD Category ………"
Yes.. it is based on the aggregate of both the papers (i.e., paper I & II put-together).
As you mentioned, your total marks is 160 (20 in Paper -I and 140 in Paper-II) and you are eligible to be considered in the race of the "QUALIFIED" candidate.
You are in the race …..
Best wishes….
Result date teriuma
Dear Jeri,
It is heard that all formalities are completed and waiting for the committee's approval. Hence, result may be released at any time…..
Since there is no exact date of release of result in their notification… we have to wait…..
Best wishes….

last year it took three months to publish the final result after the declaration of the final keys.
in 2016, the date of exam was 21.02.2016 and the date of declaration of results 25.10.2016. it took 247 days.
in 2017, date of exam 23.04.2017, final answer key released on 17.05.2017 and the results were declared on 22.08.2017, here it took 121 days after exam or 97 days after final key.
our case in 2018, the date of exam was 04.03.2018, final key released on 09.04.2018, so we can expect the results would come in the middle of July.
This weekend varatha
it was based on some calculation with the previous set exam analysis, nowadays the technology is getting improved, they can declare the result within one week, its possible still,
Also, we didn't get our carbon copy of answers this year, usually, the UGC does the same thing, this shows that the university didn't follow UGC regulation. I tried to contact the univ but they didn't pick up the telephone. Just keep looking at University website each day. One day they will publish the result.
Tnset Results published Next week wed to Friday… its nt official bt Confirm nu news… So dont panic any unofficial news about Tnset results…
How could you know
Today i called (11.5.18) mtwu they said ugc meeting is not conform so this month end they w"ll publish the result , again and again its taking long time, k w"ll see.
No child's play please spread true information and friends who are calling Jeri,… They replied same to me but I have doubt on the delay so call daily I will do the same
Is there any proof with you if you have share with me I will file a case regarding this because I am depending on this result my life is on it I am getting around 57% in management do I have a chance with this percent because it is 6% in total
If you get more than 50% aggregate sure you will pass.
Really
I have sent many emails regarding answer keys correction with proper evidence. But the university didn't correct anything. The SET committee is not at all formed, the money we paid was not properly utilized to form a good committee. The exam is simply an eyewash and many people paid money to get pass certificate it seems. Those who were really worked hard to crack the exam are now in stress.
Yes I'm searching for a job now. All are asking do you have set/net/PhD. What can i do. They publish the result after all recruitment are closed. I'm in stress now
if the colleges won't take, u just try school jobs in cbse affiliated schools, sure you will get the job, they will concentrate on ur subject knowledge and communication skills, even if u r lagging in subject somewhere they will pick u up, take an easy topic for ur demo class, opting 11th syllabus for demo will be a good choice, and one more thing about the salary, schools nowadays pay more than colleges, simply the name tag asst professor won't fetch you name fame money etc, be a master in ur subject, dont hesitate to take a school teaching job, now the people concentrating more on neet/jee/aims. if you are from PCMB background sure u have a bright future, having net/set qualification will be an added advantage for neet/jee trainers job.
