  1. Hi friends any update it's end of may now no sign of result I doubted in cash malpractice stupid country everywhere you go bribe for my obc they are expecting bribe delaying my process

    • Obc process will take one week at least, be patience, if they delay only because of bribe call bribe control police,

  2. Madam my aggregate is 58% My major subject is Mathematics and I am belongs to OBC non creamy layer whether there is possible to clear SET this time

  3. i think net result wil come before the set exam result, so prepare for that, lets concentrate in our studies, dont take tension about this matter ,just leave it any way one day they have to announce the result lets see.

    • i dont know how you guys got them over phone, i couldnt make a single call to mtwu, everytime i call them the phone is either not taken or busy.

  4. Friends
i scanned my bc certificate but i didnt scanned my obc non- creamy layer on that day while applying that browsing center man asked only bc certificate he didnt ask obc certificate and he said no need that certificate its used only certificate varification and selection process only , whether i did any mistakes or not? But i scanned my income certificate,

    • I think it was community certificate, not obc. if it is obc certificate, u no need to submit income, coz with income certificate only we used to obtain obc. but they will put you in obc category. no difference between bc, mbc and bcm here.

  5. Dear Friends
while applying for tnset2018 in that Application they given BC only, but i have non creamy layer certificate, when it will be useful , stil now they didnt ask that certificate, while applying i scanned my BC certificate only, how they i" ll select my result am belongs to General or BC. Other wise based on the income they may calculate non- creamy layer? Am getting confuse any body plz reply me friends,

    • My problem also this… How can i change this problem friends… Normaly i come under non creamy layer… But i applied under creamy layer… Shall i change it

      • You can not be coming under OBC-NC normally, its based on the income of your dad and the list of communities prescribed by state govt. If anyone missed you will be either OBC creamy layer or OC. The details once submitted can't be changed in future. Hope for the score above general category, otherwise, you will be on the fail list.

    • @Subha: You are in greater confusion it seems. You might have selected BC category while applying isn't it? and uploaded income as well as the community. If everything I mentioned is correct in your case, you will be treated as OBC-NC and the result will be based on the same category. Last year the university directly sent the SET certificate to the passed candidates without CV. Probably this year also they will do the same.

  6. I called them just now they told by may end it will get published and date of publishing is not confirm hopefully by end of next week we will be knowing our results

  7. Pls clear my doubt. Who will be declared as tnset cleared. 1. Who clear the cutoff or 2. Who comes under top 6%.

    • My name is Shree R Senthilkumar.

I do answer your Questions .

      Your Questions are

Who will be declared tnset cleared ?

Who will be cleared Cut Off ?

Who will be coming under 6% ?

      The answer is :

TN SET and NET are both Competitive Exam as well as Comparative Exam, and the Success indicate the Contemporary Comparative Academic Status, but it is not related to academic mastery.

Because , these are Speed Tests and not Power Tests.

Speed Tests are only for filtering purposes and Power Tests are the real tests.

These are Qualifying Exams for University Assistant Professor Posts. But, University Assistant Professor if completed post PG Degree could be permitted to take PG Course,

The Exceptions are the Department of Education.

The Post PG Degree is M.Phil., Degree, but there are Doctoral Studies are also available.

To guide M.Phil., Scholar , normally , Ph.,d., Qualification is needed.

But, doing M.Phil., or Ph.d., without NET or SET Qualification is not going to fetch the University Assistant Professor Post , due to Population Effect, and the Family Members of Professors etc., may also compete.

At the same time, the Conduct Certificate , until Retirement , one is to collect, and so , the Right Track is first getting NET Certificate and pursuing further studies wisely, so that , at the end of every year, a new Conduct Certificate , one could be making.

SET Certificate is not going to be fetching the University AP Posts, but SET is being conducted , if one is to work inside the particular state.

So, for those aspirant , who had NET Qualification, the SET becomes compulsory, that I do have the necessary qualification to work in this State.

So, even the Tamil Nadu Candidate is to be having NET Certificate and TN SET Certificate and that is confirmation for opting to work in the State Tamil Nadu with separate due Merit. You could not be arguing why One is to get NET as well as SET, because they are conducted by Different Controller of Examinations.

Even one could show due Merit as Mother Teresa University conducted three times the TNSET Exam, but every time , different is the Controller of Examination and also, separate Question Papers.

At the same time, If a Scholar from Kerala has applied for TN SET Exam , then it becomes Aspirant of Two States with NET Qualification.

You could be taking No SET, Not Possible to become AP , due to Population Factor and the failed in SET indicates evaporatory is the knowledge.

Qualification means a Green Signal, but not the indication of having reached the destination. You will be called , whenever the opportunity comes , and at that time, unfit means a Rare Opportunity is missed. But, the destination could be reached after next exam by success , the green signal.

So, Take as Opportunity Indicator and in the available first round had made the success. But, second round is not declared. So, even though Certified Wait for the Second Round.

Those having ready made knowledge and also, comparatively more knowledge is the winner. But , it has no connection , other than filtering process, as it is not Power Test. Because, how could I fetch the absent knowledge in me, because, it is tough process, to increase the score beyond 10 %, that is, if Cut off is 60%, then , how could you make 75 % , when you scored 65% .

      • What is this answer for is SET valuable or not orelse for some motivation class you should be precised and bold in your answer blah blah….

        • A few years back, As per the rules given by UGC, AICTE and other councils, SET/NET are mandatory to get regular AP post and later they changed it as optional, but still, you are eligible to be an AP with PG and SET/NET. from 2021 onwards P.hD will be compulsory not SET/NET.

The answer to your question is Valuable, So Don't worry. That is why maximum people invested their 1500 rupees and struggled day & night.

        • why you guys can not wait until the results get published, for you it is a single omr sheet, but for the team handling the entire set responsibility has more than 50K oms sheets to be evaluated, maybe the process is done by computers still it will take some reasonable time. last year it took 3 months to publish the result after the final answer key released. UGC net and all will surely take more than 4 months, CSIR used to publish the December month result only after the notification of next June.

          • Dear Mr. Kumar,

What u explained was right till Jan 2017 Exams…. wait for a long period… but now it is changed.
The UGC NET result published on 02.01.2018 for the exam conducted on 05.11.2017 i.e., with in two months.
If the tentative date is informed/mentioned by the University.. then OK….. definitely all will wait.
But now, NO OTHER WAY… ALL HAVE TO WAIT……
Delay in the process is not at all fair…

          • Yes Anbu sir, the university can publish the result very soon, but they are not ready to do that it seems.

          • University only told us within 15 days and now may end. So only we r eagerly waiting. If they said july month result means we wont argue or ask abt result

  8. Wats d procedure to get the job after getting pass in this exam.?

Even for merit, have to pay amount in lakhs?

    • Check tn trb board for govt arts college lecturer job. they have given some conditions like experience, qualification, and net/set. based on the conditions satisfied by the candidates, they will prepare the so-called merit list. finally, you will be interviewed. you may see many issues while claiming your qualifications. Some people will tell the experience after P.hD or NET/SET alone will be calculated and some people will tell all you experience will be calculated. If you are not steady in this case you will be sent back. Actually, the salary of an AP is extremely high compared with other govt jobs, Sometimes greater than an average IT employee without any stress and targets. The demand for govt AP post is very high. People are ready to pay 25-30L to get it. But still institutes like IISC, BITS, VIT, and other reputed institutes recruit only talented with more publications, patents, Postdoc fellowship awarded, and academically strong candidates. It is up to you to get the Job. But those institutes never take the candidates with NET/SET alone. I personally feel the guy with just SET/NET is not meritorious.

  9. My aggregate is 46.66. my major is mathematics and I am SC category.. is there a possibility I will qualify?
