The Ministry of Human Resource Development offers merit scholarship for the eligible aspirants to encourage them in their education. The MHRD merit scholarship was effective from 31^st March 2007 onwards. This is the national level scholarship scheme offered in many states across the country. Under the MHRD Scholarship scheme students who are pursuing Class XII of 10+2 to those who are in the level of Post-graduation will be benefited with the financial assistance. The Central Government also offers another scholarship scheme in the name of Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University. Students who belong to poor families can enroll in the MHRD Scholarship assistance to continue their education.

MHRD Merit Scholarship 2019-20 Apply Online – Application Form Registration, Eligibility & Procedure

Students enrolled for the merit scholarship will be awarded the scholarship based on their senior secondary examination. The MHRD offer scholarship for 82000 new students every year. The scholarship will be distributed equally for boys and girls. Students of undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses who need financial help will be supported by MHRD. Also, the merit scholarship will be offered for the merit students who perform well in their academics.

Students pursuing various courses such as Engineering, Medical, Para-medical, Polytechnic, Biotechnology, and other courses will be entitled to get the scholarship. The scholarships will be distributed in various parts of the state. Students who are in the age limit of 18 to 25 years can get the scholarship.

Students of CBSE and CISCE will be offered the scholarship by MHRD. MHRD Merit Scholarship will be offered for passed-out students from the Science, Commerce, and Humanities streams will be entitled to the scholarship in a ratio of 3:2:1. Rate of NSP Scholarships

MHRD National Merit Scholarships to TSBIE & AP Colleges

MHRD Offered 2,570 merit scholarship in Telangana state this year. Intermediate qualified students have qualified to get the scholarship. The merit scholarship will be offered for 5 years. Students will get the scholarship of INR 10,000 per year. The scholarship will be doubled in the next 2 years, that is INR 20,000 will be offered for the selected students. Students who pass the Intermediate course in March 2019 will be offered the scholarship. 6,670 students will be offered a scholarship from Telangana state this year.

The selected students get the sum through DBT Transfer. The scholarships will be transferred digitally in a fast manner for the beneficiaries. The Government launched a system called the Central Plan Scheme Monitoring System or CPSMS for transferring the scholarships. The CPSMS handles the payment modules prevailing in the country. These include the Electronic Clearance Service, The National Electronic Clearance Service, Aadhaar Payment Bridge, and National Electronic Funds Transfer.

Who Can Apply for MHRD Merit Scholarship

The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has fixed the eligibility criteria to get the merit scholarship. TSBIE offers the merit scholarship on behalf of MHRD in the state of Telangana. Students who have completed their Intermediate and going to appear for medical, engineering, and other degree courses can proceed to apply for MHRD merit scholarship.

The selected students must score above 80th percentile in the stream that he/she is pursuing in the XII standard.
The affiliating body should be AICTE, DCI or MCI approved and recognized colleges.
Applicant’s family annual income should not exceed INR 8 lakhs.
The students must pursue his/her studies in regular mode only. No correspondence or distance learners will be entertained for such scholarships.
The authority will recommend the validity of the selected students based on his/her awarding with another scholarship too

How to Apply For MHRD Merit Scholarship

Eligible aspirants who pass the Plus 2/Intermediate with 80 percentile can apply for the MHRD Scholarship. Candidates can apply through the National Scholarship portal. Candidates can apply through the recommended application portals to get a particular scholarship. MHRD also provides the scholarships for master’s degree students. The web portal of MHRD India is known as Sakshat, provides the information of all the educational scholarships, eligibility, and application process. To be declared eligible for Government Grants, an individual will have to submit a copy of his/her Aadhaar Card. Instead of that, proofing the authorization towards the Aadhaar is possible too.

Steps to register For MHRD Merit Scholarship 2019

Clicking the button named ‘New Registration.’
Go through the guidelines for registration
Click ‘Continue.’
A new page would appear; fill your details.
Enter the details of Aadhaar Card, as well as Bank Account details. Mandatory columns have to be filled.
After the application process is done, you will get a student registration ID. Keep the ID safe for future enquires and other purposes.
The login ID and password that were used to log into the NSP portal are deemed to become the Application ID and DOB respectively.
Candidates filling the application form will get an OTP of 5 digits in your registered mobile number. Confirmation of the OTP will help you to change the password you provided to another one.
Clicking the ‘Apply’ button will require you to declare the registration, academic, and other basic details.
After specifying the details applicants have to click on the ‘Save and Continue’ button to switch over to the next page. The next page will show the ‘Contact Details and Scheme Details.’

MHRD Merit Scholarship Renewal procedure

For students of Academic Year 2015 and onwards:

Students who have passed Class XII and have received fresh/renewal scholarship through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) have to visit the National Scholarship Portal www.scholarships.gov.in to apply/renewal scholarships.

For students of Academic Year before 2015:

Students who have passed Class XII before 2015, have to obtain the renewal application blank form from the respective State Education Boards. Students have to submit their respective certificate at their school.

The student must have to secure 50 % or more marks in the previous exam,
A student must have 75 % attendance
A student is not involved in any ragging activities.

Renewal applications sent directly to the Ministry of Human Resource Development shall not be accepted. In case of any grievances/complaint regarding the above scheme, approach the helpline number of NSP.

National Scholarship Provisional Allotted List

NSP will release the provisional merit list after accepting applications from the students. Based on their eligibility the merit list will be prepared by the NSP. Students can check the merit list by visiting the NSP portal with their roll numbers.

There are 137 Army Public Schools (APS) located in various Cantonments and Military Stations across India. These schools are administered and managed by local Army authorities and affiliated to CBSE through Army Welfare Education Society (AWES). A List of these schools is placed at Annexure 1. There are approximately 8000 teachers on the rolls of these schools. Out of these, a large number get turned over every year due to various reasons. Vacancies could be `regular’ or of `fixed term’ nature which shall be informed along with the announcement of vacancies. Regular appointments would be liable to transfer.

Online Screening Test: To qualify for interview and evaluation of teaching skills, the candidates should have passed the Online Screening Test. This has been scheduled on 19 and 20 Oct 2019 at various centres across the country. The general guidelines for candidates are given in the succeeding paragraphs.

Categories of Teachers. The exam will be held for the posts of PGT/TGT/PRT for all subjects (List placed atAnnexure 2).

First time you will enter as NEW USER. Here you will read the instructions carefully, accept the declaration and proceed.

Now you need to do Self Registration. Here you need to enter few basic details. Please ensure you enter the correct details on this Self Registration form and verify it before you click on “Proceed” button on this page. Once you click on “proceed” button, you cannot edit any data entered on this page.

After that you need to fill the details pertaining to eligibility for examination, if candidate is eligible for examination a unique 6 digit password will be generated and shown on your screen and also will be sent to you via e-mail and SMS. From now onwards, whenever you wish to login to the registration portal, you will come as an EXISTING USER and login with your email id and this unique 6 digit password. This completes your registration.

Once you have filled the complete form, we suggest you once again check the complete data entered by clicking on VIEW/MODIFY button. Clicking on VIEW/MODIFY button will allow you to modify your data in case you want to modify Once you are sure that all the data entered is accurate, you will have to accept a declaration and click on I AGREE. The system will reconfirm to you before SUBMIT. Once you confirm, your form will get finally SUBMITTED and no change in the data is possible after this SUBMIT.

Step 2: Payment Process: You can do the payment in On-Line payment mode only. You can make the payment using Credit card / Debit card / Net Banking. Once your payment is successfully done, you will receive a confirmation E-mail and SMS.

Selection Procedure.

The selection of teachers will be done in three stages:-

(a) Stage 1-Screening Exam. An “Online Screening Test” will be conducted on 19 and 20 October 2019, for vacancies that will arise during the ensuing academic year. This shall be conducted On-line by an agency identified by HQ AWES centrally, to ensure uniform quality of teachers in all Army Public Schools. Those who qualify in this stage will be given a Score Card which shall be valid for life provided the candidate picks up a teaching job within three years from the date of passing the screening exam in any CBSE affiliated school for a continuous duration of at least one year. A Score Card will make candidate eligible to appear for the remaining stages of the selection process. In addition to fresh candidates, the following may also appear for the screening test :-

(i) Holders of Score Cards who want to improve their scores.

(ii) Those desirous of upgrading themselves. For Eg. a candidate holding Score Card of TGT may now want to obtain a card for PGT, having acquired additional qualification. Please note that holding a Score Card by itself does not entitle you to an appointment as teacher in any Army Public School. It only renders you eligible for Stage 2 & 3 of the selection process.

(b) Stage 2 : Interview. As stated at Note to Para 2 above, the respective schools shall announce the vacancies available through various means like Local Newspapers, the School Website, Notice board etc. Candidates would have to apply in response to these announcements. The interviews may or may not be held at the location of the school. They may be held as per discretion of the local management.

(c) Stage 3 : Evaluation of Teaching Skills and Computer Proficiency. For Language teachers, written test comprising Essay & Comprehension of 15 marks each will be held along with evaluation of teaching skills. Selection Committee may also hold Computer proficiency tests if they so desire.

Admit Cards. Admit Cards will be available ON-LINE. Candidates may download and print the same. The same should be produced for gaining entry to the Exam Centre. Candidates are advised to read the instructions appended to the Admit Cards carefully.

Exam Results. Will be put up on the same portal. The results shall be available on the website for 30 days after declaration of results.

Score Card. The Score Cards of successful candidates will be available on the Registration Portal after the exam which the candidates may download and laminate. The card will be valid for life provided the candidate takes up teaching position in any CBSE recognized school (for a period of at least one year) within 3 years of issue of Score Card.

TS NMMS Hall Ticket 2019: Directorate of Government Examinations, Telangana is going to conduct the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme Examination in November. Aspirants undergoing class 8^th are eligible to participate in NMMS scholarship test. In the state of Telangana, DGE has accepted applications from eligible and interested aspirants from 7^th September to 9^th September. A large number of aspirants seeking to get NMMS Merit Scholarship have applied this year. TS NMMS Hall Ticket 2019 – Download National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Hall Tickets

Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Telangana conducts various examinations at the state level. Telangana state government has introduced the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme Examination for class VIII students. Students who are pursuing in Telangana are eligible to attend this examination. The TS NMMS application process has been conducted from 7th Sep to 9th September this year. Lakhs of applicants have sent their applications this year. TS NMMS Qualifying Marks

Candidates have to score the qualifying marks as specified by the conducting authority to clear the examination.

GEN, BC & PH: 40% (36 MARKS)
SC & ST: 32% (29 MARKS)

Candidates have to score 40% of aggregate marks in MAT and SAT.

TS NMMS Scholarship Amount

Students who have qualified the examination with required cutoff marks will receive a sum of Rs. 12000/- per annum for which the awardee shall have to open a joint account with their parents in any S.B.I or in any Nationalized Banks which has core banking facility/ESC facility. On providing the Bank account number list by the states, the Ministry for Human Resource Development, New Delhi will sanction the scholarships and send such list to the SBI, New Delhi for disbursement of scholarships to the awardees.

Eligibility to Get NMMS Scholarship in Telangana

Applicant’s parent’s annual income must be less than 1,50,000 per year to get the NMMS scholarship.

Examination Fee

Aspirants have to pay the specified amount towards the examination fee. The examination fee has to be paid online alongside the application process.

National Talent Search Examination 2019-20 first level is going to be conducted by Directorate of Government, Telangana in November.
