TRB Post Graduate Assistants 2017 Notification, Online Application, Exam Dates: Applications are invited only through online mode from eligible candidates up to 11.59 P.M on 30.05.2017 for the Direct Recruitment for the post of Post Graduate Assistants / Physical Education Directors Grade-I in School Education and other departments for the year 2016-2017.

Reservations:
Vertical Reservation : 69% Communal reservation will be followed vertically as per existing Government rules / Orders i.e., 18% shall be reserved for Scheduled Castes including 3% offered to Arunthathiyars on preferential basis amongst the Scheduled Castes, 1% for Scheduled Tribes, 26.5% for Backward Classes (other than Backward Class Muslims), 3.5% for the Backward Class Muslims, 20% for Most Backward Classes and Denotified Communities and 31% shall be filled on the basis of merit.
Horizontal Reservations
Women Reservation: 30% Women reservation will be provided horizontally as per existing Government Rules / Orders. If qualified and suitable women candidates are not available for selection against the vacancies reserved for them, those vacancies will be filled by male candidates belonging to those respective communal categories.
Reservation for Persons Studied in Tamil Medium (PSTM): For the direct recruitment of P.G Assistants, 20% horizontal reservation on preferential basis for persons who studied their both P.G degree and B.Ed. degree in Tamil Medium will be followed as per existing Government Orders. This reservation is subject to the availability of suitable eligible candidates. In the event of non-availability of such candidates the posts reserved for PSTM candidates will be filled by General candidates.
Reservation for Persons with Disability: In G.O.Ms.No.13, Welfare of Differently Abled Persons (DAP.3.2) Department, dated 02.03.2016, the Post Graduate Teacher Post is identified as suitable for the persons with the following category of Disability.
Qualifications:
Age Limit : Candidates should not be over 57 years as on 1-7-2017 as the age of superannuation is 58 years
Educational Qualifications: Candidates should possess a Post Graduate degree in the relevant subject with B.Ed. Degree awarded by an University or Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission. The qualification prescribed above for this post should have been obtained by passing the required qualification after completing 10th and H.Sc. (or its equivalent) followed by an U.G. Degree.
Note: All qualifying certificates should have been obtained prior to the last date for submission of filled-in applications, announced in the recruitment notification.
Equivalent Qualifications: If a candidate claims that the educational qualification in the subject possessed by him/her is equivalent to, though not the same, as those prescribed for the appointment, he/she has to produce the subject equivalence G.O issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu at the time of Certificate Verification.
Examination fee:
a. The candidates have to pay a fees of Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- for SC/ST and differently abled candidates) towards examination fee payable only through online net banking /credit card / debit card.
b. The candidates have also to pay the service charges as applicable for online payment.

- Evidence for claims made by the candidate while applying online should be submitted by the candidate at the time of Certificate Verification, if called for.
Scheme of Examination:
The written examination will consist of a single paper of 3 hours duration with 150 MCQs. Each question carries one mark. The marks allotted to the Main Subject, Educational Methodology and General Knowledge are as follows

Selection:
After certificate verification, the total marks secured by each candidate will be arrived at by adding weightage marks to the written examination marks. A fresh merit list will then be prepared on this basis. Selection will be made from the fresh merit list duly following merit-cum-communal rotation.
