Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) has been assigned the task of re-conducting the TS EAMCET-II-2016 (presently named as TS EAMCET-III-2016 – Common Entrance Test for admission into MBBS & BDS courses) on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE).

The TS EAMCET-III-2016 examination is scheduled on 11-9-2016 (Sunday) from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. in 12 major cities with 96 test centers in the States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Examination is being held for 56,153 candidates who have applied for TS EAMCET-II-2016 only.

The statistics of the total number of applications received is shown below Regional Centers wise which are spread across in the States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh:

The candidates appearing for the TS EAMCET-III-2016 are hereby advised to strictly follow the instructions given below for the smooth conduct of the exam:

1. The candidate is advised to visit the allotted Examination Centre well in advance (at least one day before), so that candidate can reach the Test Centre in time on the day of the examination.

2. Candidate will be permitted into the Examination Hall one hour before the commencement of the test i.e.9:00 A.M.) THE CANDIDATE WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO TAKE THE EXAM EVEN IF LATE BY 1 MINUTE.

3. Candidate will not be admitted into the Examination Hall once the test commences (10:00 A.M.) and will not be allowed to leave the Examination Hall till the END of the Examination (i.e.,1:00 P.M.). Candidates are advised to go to toilets, if required, before entering the examination halls.

4. The candidate can download the ‘Hall Ticket’ and ‘Filled In Online Application Form’ from the website www.tseamcet.in from 03-09-2016 to 09-09-2016.

5. Hall ticket shall be produced at the Entrance of the Test Centre and also in the Examination Hall, failing which the candidates will not be allowed to write the test.

6. The candidate has to submit the “FILLED IN ONLINE APPLICATION FORM” to the Invigilator in the Examination Hall on the day of the TS EAMCET-III-2016 exam. Further, affix a recent color photograph (3.5cms x 3.5cms) in the box provided (Bottom – Left side) on the “FILLED IN ONLINE APPLICATION FORM and get it attested by a Gazetted Officer / Principal of the college where studied well in advance before the examination.

7. The candidate shall carry the following items only into the Examination hall: (i) Black / Blue Ball Point Pen (ii) Filled in Online Application form (iii) Hall Ticket and (iv) Caste Certificate (in case of SC/ST only, if the application number of his/her caste certificate is not provided at the time of online submission of Application of TSEAMCETII-2016).

8. Carrying of Calculators, Mathematical / Log Tables, Pagers, Cell Phones, Watches or any other electronic gadgets and loose sheets of paper into the Examination Hall is strictly prohibited.

9. The candidate shall enroll with Biometric (Fingerprint) data as a part of security and attendance purpose. Hence, the candidate shall keep his/her fingers clean and neat else his/her candidature may not be considered for the test. (Eg., Avoid the use of Mehendi, Tatoos, any other designs on your fingers specifically).

10. The OMR Answer Sheet is provided with 1+1 (Carbonless) (i.e., Convener’s Copy + Candidate’s Copy). Till the end of the examination, the OMR sheet should not be separated or mutilated. After the examination, the copies should be separated in the presence of the Invigilator. The candidate may retain the ‘Candidate’s copy’ with him/her.

11. The Candidate should return the OMR Answer Sheet (Convener’s Copy), Filled in Online Application form & Caste Certificate (in case of SC/ST category only) before leaving examination hall. Otherwise, their Results will be withheld.

12. The candidate shall retain the Question Paper Booklet and Carbonless OMR Answer Sheet (Candidate’s copy) only and preserve till the declaration of the TS EAMCET-III-2016 Results.

13. If any sort of malpractice or impersonation found, serious criminal action will be taken against the Candidate as per the law.

14. The candidate has to verify that he / she has got the correct Question Paper Booklet Code as printed in the OMR Answer sheet.

15. Use Black/Blue Ball point pen to darken the circles. Pens with any other colors are prohibited. Do not use Pencil or Ink/Gel pen.

16. Hall ticket is not transferable. Any tampering of Hall Ticket will automatically lead to the disqualification of the candidate. Hall Ticket must be preserved for future verification and use.

17. Precautions to be taken while Answering: 

  • While answering, choose the BEST alternative answer from the four choices given below the question and darken the same in the corresponding circle in the OMR Answer sheet.
  • Do not shade more than one circle for a question. 
  • The candidates must fully satisfy themselves about the accuracy of the answer before darkening the appropriate circle with Black / Blue Ball Point Pen, as it is not permitted to change or erase the answer once darkened. 
  • Use of Eraser or White Fluid on the Answer Sheet is not permissible as the answer Sheets are machine gradable and it may lead to invalidation.

Minister of Human Resources Development of Andhra Pradesh, Ganta Srinivasa Rao has stepped into his new office that was built in the temporary secretariat in Velagapudi, Amaravathi.  While addressing the media in his new office he said that by next academic year, all the educational institutions and its associated offices will be completely shifted to the new capital Amaravati and will start working from there.  He said that already many of the educational institutes have been shifted to the capital city.

He said that the allegations that came on the head of SRM University in Tamil Nadu will be investigated soon and will decide whether or not to allot place for the university in Amaravathi.  He also said that from next year along with EAMCET all other entrance exams will be conducted online.

He said that it was his gratification that under his ruling as Minister of Human Resources Development, all the educational institutions were coming to the capital.  He said that the entrances were allowed in five institutions and that this year they will start entrances into all the central and tribal universities.

Education cities are soon going to be inaugurated in Visaka, Amaravathi and Tripathi cities.  He said that the bill for private educational institutions was brought into action.  He also said that top most universities like VIT, Mata Amrutanandamayi, and Indo American Institute will be coming to Amaravathi.

He said that there were talks about awarding marks to the students who show merit in physical literacy and games.  Just as Hyderabad has become IT hub, the new capital Amaravathi seems to become an educational hub soon.  Hope the new educational hub produces many young talents.

In the letter under reference, Government, in accordance with the orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court, issued instructions regarding the retum of original certificates to the students.

In this connection, the Principals of Constituent & Affiliated Colleges of JNTUK are here by informed to comply with the instructions issued by the Govemment as per the letters enclosed.

With regard to the Return ot original Certificates to the Students by the Institutions, the Government, vide reference memo cited have informed this office, to comply with the orders of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India as well as the orders of AICTE, New Delhi,

Therefore, while enclosing a copy of memo cited, the Registrars of all the Universities are requested to inform their affiliated colleges to comply with the orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India as well as the orders of AICTE, New Delhi, in this regard.

The attention of the Commissioner of Technical Education, A.P., Hyderabad is invited to the reference. After careful examination of the matter , the Government hereby direct the CTE, A.P., Hyderabad to comply with the orders of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India as well as the orders of AICTE as detailed below:

I) The Hon’ble Supreme Court in its judgment in the case of Islamic Academy of Education and others Vs. State of Karnataka and Others, on 14th August, 2003, ordered that:

“if the students left the course in midstream then for the remaining years the seat would lie vacant and the institute would suffer. In our view an educational institution can only charge prescribed fees for one semester/year, if an institution feels that any particular student may leave in midstream then, at the highest, it may require that student to give a bond/bank guarantee that the balance fees for the whole course would be received by the institute even if the student left in midstream”.

II) The AICTE. New Delhi in its Advt. No.AICTE/Legal/04 (01)/2007, has mentioned the following:-

” In the event of a student / candidate withdrawing before the starting of the course, the wait list candidates should be given admissions against the vacant seat. The entire fee collected from•the student, after a deduction of the processing fee of not more than Rs.1,000/- shall be refunded and returned by the institution/ University to the student I candidate withdrawing from the programme. It would not be permissible for the institutions and Universities to retain the school / Institution Leaving certificates in original. Should a student leave after joining the course and if the seat consequently falling Vacant has been filled by another candidate by the last date of admission, the institution must return the fee collected with proportionate deductions of monthly fee ‘ and proportionate hostel rent where applicable.”

Therefore , the Commissioner of Technical Education , A.P. , Hyderabad is requested to issue necessary guidelines / instructions to all Engineering /Pharmacy/MBA/MCA/Arch . Colleges in the State accordingly.

This is to inform you that the Supplementary Examinations for the I Year B.Tech. and B. Pharmacy Students of R15 Regulations were advanced from 26.08.2016 to 10.09.2016 instead of 13.10.2016 to 26.10.2016 as per the Academic Calendar.

For the students of R07, R09 and R13 Regulations, the supplementary examinations will be held as per the Academic Calendar from 13.10.2016 to 26.10.2016.

In this connection, the Principals are requested to take necessary action for conducting the Supplementary examinations for the I Year of R15 Regulations and conduct the class work from 13.10.2016 to 26.10.2016. There is no change in the remaining academic calendar.

ACADEMIC REGULATIONS FOR B.TECH. REGULAR STUDENTS WITH EFFECT FROM THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2016-17 (R-16)

Note : R16 = Students who got admitted into B.Tech 1st Year in 2016-17 & Students who got admitted into B.Tech 2nd Year (Lateral Entry Scheme) in 2017-18.

1.0 Under-Graduate Degree Programme in Engineering & Technology (UGP in E&T)

1.1 JNTUH offers a 4-year (8 semesters) Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree programme, under Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) at its non-autonomous constituent and affiliated colleges with effect from the academic year 2016-17 in the following branches of Engineering:

2.0 Eligibility for admission

2.1 Admission to the under graduate programme shall be made either on the basis of the merit rank obtained by the qualified candidate in entrance test conducted by the Telangana State Government (EAMCET) or the University or on the basis of any other order of merit approved by the University, subject to reservations as prescribed by the government from time to time.

2.2 The medium of instructions for the entire under graduate programme in E&T will be English only.

3.0 B.Tech. Programme structure

3.1 A student after securing admission shall pursue the under graduate programme in B.Tech. in a minimum period of four academic years (8 semesters), and a maximum period of eight academic years (16 semesters) starting from the date of commencement of first year first semester, failing which student shall forfeit seat in B.Tech course.

Each semester is structured to provide 24 credits, totaling to 192 credits for the entire B.Tech. programme. Each student shall secure 192 credits (with CGPA ≥ 5) required for the completion of the under graduate programme and award of the B.Tech. degree. 3.2 UGC/ AICTE specified definitions/ descriptions are adopted appropriately for various terms and abbreviations used in these academic regulations/ norms, which are listed below.

3.2.1 Semester scheme

Each under graduate programme is of 4 academic years (8 semesters) with the academic year being divided into two semesters of 22 weeks ( 90 instructional days) each, each semester having – ‘Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE)’ and ‘Semester End Examination (SEE)’. Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) and Credit Based Semester System (CBSS) as indicated by UGC and curriculum / course structure as suggested by AICTE are followed.

3.2.2 Credit courses

All subjects/ courses are to be registered by the student in a semester to earn credits which shall be assigned to each subject/ course in an L: T: P: C (lecture periods: tutorial periods: practical periods: credits) structure based on the following general pattern.

  • One credit for one hour/ week/ semester for theory/ lecture (L) courses.
  • One credit for two hours/ week/ semester for laboratory/ practical (P) courses or tutorials (T).

Courses like Environmental Science, Professional Ethics, Gender Sensitization lab and other student activities like NCC/NSO and NSS are identified as mandatory courses. These courses will not carry any credits.
