JNTU Kakinada M.Tech R13 ACADEMIC REGULATIONS

ACADEMIC REGULATIONS R13 FOR M. Tech (REGULAR) DEGREE COURSE

Applicable for the students of M. Tech (Regular) Course from the Academic Year 2013-14 onwards
The M. Tech Degree of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada shall be conferred on candidates who are admitted to the program and who fulfil all the requirements for the award of the Degree.

1.0 ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSIONS

Admission to the above program shall be made subject to eligibility, qualification and specialization as prescribed by the University from time to time.
Admissions shall be made on the basis of merit/rank obtained by the candidates at the qualifying Entrance Test conducted by the University or on the basis of any other order of merit as approved by the University, subject to reservations as laid down by the Govt. from time to time.
2.0 AWARD OF M. Tech DEGREE

2.1 A student shall be declared eligible for the award of the M. Tech Degree, if he pursues a course of study in not less than two and not more than four academic years.

2.2 The student shall register for all 80 credits and secure all the 80 credits.

2.3 The minimum instruction days in each semester are 90.

JNTUK Promotion Rules For Promoting to 4th Year From 3rd Year:

Sub: JNTUK – DE – Examination Branch – IV year I Semester – Class work – Permission to attend – Reg.

You are aware that the class work for IV B.Tech I Semester for the academic year 2014-15 has commenced from 16th June 2014.

As per the existing academic regulations (2010-11 batch onwards) “A student shall be promoted from III year to IV year if he /she fulfills the academic requirements of 40% of the credits up to III year I Semester from all the examinations, whether or not the candidate takes the examinations and secures prescribed minimum attendance in III year II Semester” (rule 5.4). In this connection, the Vice – Chancellor, JNTUK is pleased to issue addendum to the above rule
as follows:

“A student shall be promoted from III year to IV year if he / she fulfills the academic requirements of 40% of the credits up to III year II Semester from all the examinations, whether or not the candidate takes the examinations and secures prescribed minimum attendance in III year II Semester”. Under the above circumstances, I am by direction inform you to permit the students for the class work of IV year I Semester, pending declaration of results of III year II Semester. The attendance of such candidates may be considered w.e.f. 11.07.2014, if not allowed so far.

The list of students who satisfied the addendum clause or otherwise may be furnished to the Director of Academics and Planning and copy marked to Director of Evaluation, JNTUK after declaration of III year II Semester results.
