Reservation for Persons Studied in Tamil Medium (PSTM): For the direct recruitment of P.G Assistants, 20% horizontal reservation on preferential basis for persons who studied their both P.G degree and B.Ed. degree in Tamil Medium will be followed as per existing Government Orders. This reservation is subject to the availability of suitable eligible candidates. In the event of non-availability of such candidates the posts reserved for PSTM candidates will be filled by General candidates.

Reservation for Persons with Disability: In G.O.Ms.No.13, Welfare of Differently Abled Persons (DAP.3.2) Department, dated 02.03.2016, the Post Graduate Teacher Post is identified as suitable for the persons with the following category of Disability.

Qualifications:

Age Limit : Candidates should not be over 57 years as on 1-7-2017 as the age of superannuation is 58 years

Educational Qualifications: Candidates should possess a Post Graduate degree in the relevant subject with B.Ed. Degree awarded by an University or Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission. The qualification prescribed above for this post should have been obtained by passing the required qualification after completing 10th and H.Sc. (or its equivalent) followed by an U.G. Degree.

Note: All qualifying certificates should have been obtained prior to the last date for submission of filled-in applications, announced in the recruitment notification.

Equivalent Qualifications: If a candidate claims that the educational qualification in the subject possessed by him/her is equivalent to, though not the same, as those prescribed for the appointment, he/she has to produce the subject equivalence G.O issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu at the time of Certificate Verification.

Examination fee:

a. The candidates have to pay a fees of Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- for SC/ST and differently abled candidates) towards examination fee payable only through online net banking /credit card / debit card.

b. The candidates have also to pay the service charges as applicable for online payment.

With reference to the subject cited, all the Principals of Govt./ Aided, Private Polytechnics and 2″d Shift Engineering Colleges offering Diploma courses are informed that conduct of Instant cum advanced supplementary exams will be conducted immediately, after the declaration of Mar/April 2017 examination results for the following categories students.

A) It should be conducted only for regular/readmitted students in the regular stream.

B) Only two subjects in the final semester including the practical subjects are to be considered for the exam.

C) No instant exam for the 3 % year course candidates.

Further, a candidate is eligible to appear the instant cum advanced supplementary exam provided he/she should have fulfilled the following conditions.

1) The candidate must be a regular student in final semester,

2) The candidate should register for the March/April regular diploma examination.

3) To appear for instant cum advanced supplementary examination, the candidate should pass all the subjects from First year to 5th semester before appearing for the instant examination.

4) Candidate should not have failed in not more than two subjects including practical subjects in the final semester.

5) Such candidates will not be allowed to appear for the next subsequent Oct/Nov supplementary examinations.

6) Instant cum advanced supplementary exam may be conducted in limited centers i.e. 1 or 2 Government Polytechnics in a district.

ACTION AGAINST CANDIDATES FOUND GUILTYOF MISCONDUCT :

Candidates are cautioned that they should not furnish any particulars that are false, tampered/ fabricated and they should not suppress any material information while filling up the application form.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

(i) Candidates should satisfy themselves about their eligibility for the post applied for.

(ii) Candidates serving in Govt./Quasi Govt. offices, Public Sector undertakings including Nationalised Banks and Financial Institutions are advised to submit ‘No Objection Certificate’ from their employer at the time of interview, failing which their candidature may not be considered and travelling expenses, if any, otherwise admissible, will not be paid.

(iii) In case of selection, candidates will be required to produce proper discharge certificate from the employer at the time of taking up the appointment.
