OU To Conduct Exams First For Final Semester
The UGC passed some important guidelines by observing the academic timetable and other concerned issues. Also, the UGC has given relaxation to universities to make certain changes according to the local conditions.
Except for the final semester, remaining all semester’s students will be promoted to the next semesters without exams. As per the university guidelines, students who secure 50% of marks in the exams will only get promoted to the next semester; otherwise, students will be detained. Now, without the detention, all the students will be promoted to the next semesters. After starting the new semester classes, the varsity is going to conduct the previous semester examinations by taking a break of 15 days. The same procedure will be followed for all the UG and PG courses. While comes to the Engineering, Pharmacy, MCA, MBA examinations, the university will follow the guidelines of AICTE and Pharmacy Council of India.
University Registrar C. H. Gopal Reddy has recently communicated with Academic Cell Officials through video conference regarding the OU Degree examinations. In this conference, major aspects were discussed like examination syllabus, exam pattern, dates, fee, and other related topics. The university is focusing on the syllabus, which is going to be considered for the examinations. That is the university is going to consider a portion of the syllabus for the examinations, as the overall syllabus has not completed yet. Also, the plans were in progress to include more multiple-choice questions in the examination by re-designing the exam pattern.
Osmania University is going to arrange a COVID-19 zone to solve the student’s problems related to the examinations, curriculum, and other issues. In the UGC department also this zone will be arranged. The helpline center will be arranged in the UGC office.
